The developers of Illyriad are very excited and proud to announce that Magic Bears will
finally be making an appearance in the game!

Magic Bears are creatures that are born out of pure magic. Their abilities are limited only by their imagination, giving them a mythical and mysterious reputation. They are extremely dangerous in many situations and very helpful in others. It has been said that if you do come across a magic bear in the wild, be sure to speak only in riddles; they understand nothing else.

Magic Bears are also known for their flightiness. If you approach one, it might just pop away before you can present any gifts or ask any questions. Have the gifts ready to go and the questions prepared ahead of time.

Remember, Magic Bears possess great knowledge. After all, many have lived for a billion years or more. Don’t waste the opportunity if you see one.

Magic Bears have already been patched into the game but you might need to refresh your browser to get the latest information.

Note: Magic Bear AI is still quite buggy, so you might witness unexpected outbursts in chat or unusual movement patterns.

Congrats to all of Illy... Magic Bears are finally here!

*bows to Koda and salutes the Devs for finally releasing Magic Bears to get even with those who question their existence.*

This is awesome!!!!  I'll bet you anything they can't be killed.  Finally a real reason to stay in Illy.  I keep missing when Epi comes around, so I was about to leave again.

Can we tame them?  I bet they would make good pets.

What do magic bears like to eat?  I heard pizza.  Will pizza become available as a harvestable resource?  Or will we be able to build pizzerias in our cities in order to attract more magic bears?

From my research the Magic Bears have a 0,0000001% chance to drop Pizza. So you have to killa few of them first, get some pizzas and then you can tame them.
Looking at the NPC data you need around 10000 Pizzas to tame one magic bear.

Thank the Old Gods! I hope that one day I will be able to see my very first Magic bear and when that day comes I will be fulfilled in my Illyriad dreams.

Thanks Devs!~

Hahaha, Magic Bears are not afraid of Epi and pizza does not go away.   The Great Lord of the Magic Bears has a magic pizza box that produces never ending pizza.    Magic Bears also like gummie bears.

*drags a very thick and heavy wagon piled high with books into the forum*   THERE is the history of Magic Bears, it should take you aprox. 132 years to read it.....test to follow.  :P

Quite co-inky dinky... It will fill up the time to get to 40+ cities in 100 years. Now we have something to read that will fill in that build and research timing!!

Magic Bears are so worth it!!

I love that the Magic Bears have little birthday hats on their heads.  Make sure to bring Ice Cream and cake in case you meet one.  Then we can sit down and have a little party with them.

Thank you, Lewis Carol, for the inspiration.

`Have some wine,' the Magic Bear said in an encouraging tone.

I looked all round the table, but there was nothing on it but tea. `I don't see any wine'.

`There isn't any,' said the Magic Bear.

`Then it wasn't very civil of you to offer it,' I said angrily.

`It wasn't very civil of you to sit down without being invited,' said the Magic Bear.
