When I looked at one of my siege workshop's it explains, "Siege Blocks are vital for making Illyria's largest weapons of war - from catapults and ballistas to battering rams and siege towers."

1st idea: So, why not add siege towers to the game? The siege tower adds a bonus to troops for scaling walls during a direct attack only. For example: 10% attack bonus per 500 hundred troops.

2nd Idea: It could also be useful during sieges as well. The first hour the siege equipment attacks. Siege towers would only work with 500 troops, and add a 10% attack bonus to them. For example: If you had 30 thousand infantry in your siege, and there were 30 siege towers. 15 thousand would attack once with the towers and then the towers could not attack again after that. Then, what is left of the 15 thousand troops would return to defend the siege. 

Or both. Wink

Maybe, possibly even make new siege only troops? Like tunnelers, fire archers, etc.

Or also siege magic. I don't know exactly what that would entail right this moment, but I am just throwing it out there.

Yeah, for this game, the siege technology is surprisingly lacking... Come to think of it, the capabilities of what you can do with magic are also lacking. Maybe we could fix this GM's?

It can take you 2 years to build a city up to 25k-30k population and it'll take me 12 hours or less to raze it to the ground. The siege mechanics in this game is too powerful for such a laid back game.

Yes, active players and alliances can make razing a town extremely costly, but in most circumstances it is quite simple to achieve.

How about instead of thinking up new ways to eliminate all the vets from the game how about thinking up ways to keep us entertained. Unless this game drastically changes to allow anybody to build 10 cities in a few months the all-out war aspect is useless. You'll be down to mostly newbs and a few over powerful alliances in short time, like most dead war games.

easy fix. make some true quests available. 
The kind where you have to interact with factions and leave cousins in charge of the castle for months at a time
