Same as ebony. How many undead have you ever killed?

none so far but it ought to be included in the list with an asterisk as should ebony wood.

I agree.  It's not a very useful list if it's not going to list resources based on value judgments over the usefulness of the crafted item they're used to make.  If they can be used to craft something, they should be on the list.

I find it useful to make value judgments on items. How else can new players be pointed in a sensible direction? Most crafted items have obscure or unlikely uses, and it's fine to cross them off the starter list.

The same goes for all the presently useless minerals and herbs. New players often ask if a particular mineral is useful, and I think it's helpful to tell them which specific ones are used in the construction of desirable items.

A complete list of minerals, asterisk those that can be used for crafting and double asterisk those where the crafted items have no known current use.  Isn't that the simplest way?  Tomorrow, something might become useful (scrolls), so I humbly suggest that the full list is the way to go.

Dung, I'm sure we all await your list with great anticipation.

The following table shows pretty well what is in use or not, imo.

That table lists everything. The majority of those items are basically useless.
