I have noticed inconsistencies in the notifications for harvesting animal parts. For example, I sent skinners to a location and the first notification said, "skinners arrived and began harvesting Scritcher Heart." But later on when they finished I got a notification saying they actually harvested Scritcher Carapace, and that is what was delivered.

Another strange one happened when the first notification said, "skinners arrived and began harvesting Giant Scuttler Exoskeleton" but what was actually harvested turned out to be Wild Dog Bone and Wild Dog Fur.

Honestly, I think the slackers just get there, look around, poke at a few things, take multiple coffee and smoke breaks and then grab the closest thing at hand when they realize it's time to come back.

(Which is to say "Yes. I've experienced this.")

The notifications on animal parts are usually wrong. Generally I've found that skinners will harvest the most abundant part first if there is more than one type, but that may not always be true. And that's not a bad thing: the most abundant part is usually the useful one (if any of the parts have a use). But like most "rare" resources in this game, most of them have no use.

The skinner notification just randomly shows one item from the square. There is no guarantee that they collect that part.

The wild dog harvest was probably from a scuttler vs dog battle. Both types of parts were on the square.
