I hope I'm posting in the correct place. I did a search and couldn't find these issues.

I play using the Windows 8 app. To play, I just go to my start screen and click on the app. It logs me in and I play. I can't find an option to log out. I started looking for one while thinking of starting an alt account. I'm including a screen shot (some areas whited out for other players privacy) that shows where I've been told there should be a grey arrow, there isn't. I'd like to know if there IS a log out for the app.

Also, another thing that has been bothering me: In the main screen area, the margin's aren't being enforced. So when I read mail, profiles, etc. I usually have to highlight the text in order to view the left and right sides which the background obscures. This can be seen in the screen shots.

It would be interesting if there was any way to resolve this. I take it that you are still having this issue, Joshuel?

As far as I know, the Windows 8 app is merely the native browser (Internet Explorer) launching http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk" rel="nofollow - elgea.illyriad.co.uk in the native browser. If I remember correctly, Android calls bookmarks masquerading as applications "Web Apps", though Im not sure what Microsoft calls them.

This is the gray arrow you don't have 

I assume this is either:
a) Intentional since it is an "app", so you cant log out
or
b) Internet Explorer is having rendering issues with some html/css that works for everything else(as usual).

Try installing Chrome and logging in with that to see if it solves your problems. I am using Chrome and have no issues with Illyriad.

For the app you just drag it down off screen and that closes it.

I have been playing Illy in Safari, Chrome and IE11 on my ipad and my pc. Just saw the Windows 8.1 app. Installed it, but now the thing wants to create a new account...

Can I use the app with my existing account?

Yes, the account would be your profile name ("character name") and password. If you cannot remember your pass, go here: http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/Account/ForgottenPassword
