I think it would be nice if we could have trades on the market that are only for alliance members.

I like the idea, but would be equally satisfied with optionally disallowing trade between alliances at war, either as alliance policy, individual choice, or both (with alliance policy dictating the default choice).

I agree, a filter is needed for both who you want to trade with but also for time/distance nothing worse than putting a trade in only to find out the guy who took it is 12 hours away from you.
