We just had a 24 hour tournament for the new players to see who could get the biggest hit against NPC's. I thought it might be fun to see the same short tournament with bigger players. Here is how it will work:

1. Only players in alliances that are NOT at war are eligible. We will be hitting NPC's only.

2. The competition will take place on March 22. It will begin as soon as the clock hits 00:00 and will end at 23:59 that day. This way we can see who won on that days Attack Stat board.

3. The winner will be the entrant who gets the highest spot on the Global Attack Board. There will be a second and third place award if those hits show up on the attack stat board.

4. Each entrant will pay a 10 Million gold entry fee which must be sent before the beginning of the tournament. Send your fee along with a message to Myr. When I see your delivery I'll send you a confirmation. I will hold the gold and pay out the winners. First place will receive 60% of the gold, second place gets 25%, and third place gets 15%. In the case that there is only one player that shows on the board that player will get all of the gold. If there are two players the split will be 70/30. All entrants will be listed here.

Myr: you didn't state a deadline for entrants to send their gold.
This leaves you open to some players spending the 22nd killing all they can and only sending you their entry fee once they know they're going to win. I encourage you to explicitly state that entry fee must be paid before the start of the tournament !

Nice idea, but isn't it possible to think of something bigger? I mean a tournement that lasts a month and has some pvp in it. I'd be happy to help organizing it if there are enough players willing to participate.

Here's just an idea:

we can create 5 alliances, 4 for each race and 1 neutral. There's a maximum of players that can be in the race restricted alliances (for instance 25, but any number will do as long as all have the same amount).
The 4 race alliances declare war on eachother and get NAP'd with the neutral alliance
The alliances try to raze or capture towns of the other sides. Once a town is razed/captured the owning player is out and will be replaced by a substitute player. The player that lost the town moves to the neutral alliance so he can't be attacked anymore and that way no one will lose more then 1 town
At the end of the month all alliance declare NAP so all attacks will stop. Then count the number of towns razed and captured. For each town your race lost it loses a point and for each town captured/razed it wins a point.
The neutral alliance should act as refferee just as much as it is a save place for veterans
It would be cool if players would be willing to donate some prestige to make medals that can be awarded to the winners, but I guess we need to think of other prizes

This isn't more then a vague idea, and there's probably tons of things I forgot about, but maybe we can make something out of it.

Corwin: That looks like it could be fun but I don't know how many people will want to leave their alliances for a month. It also looks like more organization than I'm willing to do at this time. Why don't you start a thread and see if you can get anyone interested?

I think alliance vs alliance tournament PVP would be nice, RE is surely intrested in these sort of arrangement.
