Subject: UK1 outage - resolved

Hi all,
UK1 stopped responding at around 20:30 on Saturday the 22nd of May, and came back up at 22:20.
The outage appears to have been a hardware issue of some sort at the server hosting end.
Whilst we're awaiting a full report and post-mortem, we'd like to thank Webfusion for resolving the issue pretty darn swiftly for a saturday evening.
The Illyriad world
continued as it was during the outage, and everything that was due
to complete, arrive, harvest - or whatever - via orders submitted before
the outage did so.
Some harvesting caravans may have ended up with a few extra resources as
a result; and players will be allowed to retain these.
We apologise
wholeheartedly for any inconvenience caused.
Best wishes,
GM Stormcrow

Well yea happens, think this game is one of the most reliable/stable i've seen yet so think the ones hating this outage the most are the developers who are dependable on the host (for which im still thinking of an appropriate spell!)

still doesnt help me with all the moves I could have made in my little city. When things take such a short time early in a cities development, it sets us new players back.
Granted bigger cities are gonna be less affected.
I also agree the site is very good , but other restitution would be better than an apology, though that is appreciated.

Um no you're not going to get restitution because it didn't affect just you, it affected everyone. sh*t happens, get over it, they're under no obligation to do so in the slightest.

Is running OK for me via 2 different ISP feeders, and is fine from google translate / W3C validator as well; plus there are 301 people online atm.
Possibly your own connection, shorty...?

Sorry that you're having problems, Shorty.
The server's fine; whatever the issue is appears local to you.
To help us give you a suggestion on how to fix, can you be more specific on the error / what happens precisely to you? Browser and version would help as well. If you have access to another web browser, give that a go and let us know what the outcome is.
Best,
GM Stormcrow

Sorry if I posted in the wrong thread.
I've been facing slow page loading times since the server outage, more than 30 seconds to load a page completely. I'm from Malaysia and I tried using 2 different ISPs and also 2 different browsers (FF and IE) , but with almost identical results.
Ping times are about 460ms to uk1.illyriad.co.uk. Interestingly, my ping times to www.bbc.net.uk is about 430ms, but their pages loads in about 5 seconds.
Any ideas to help solve my problem?
Thanks Darth
