I, Smoking GNU, do hereby surrender to vCrow and their various allies in the current war. I am laying down arms and will no longer aid in the war effort in any manner, be it militarily or economically. I have accepted Dittobites' terms as presented to me. Furthermore, i would like to apologize to dittobite and his fellow alliance members about a misunderstanding on my part with regards to one point of negotiation in earlier surrender negotiations with Dlords, to whit with the measure asking one Mordok to join vCrow for a duration to help in his reconstruction. I was under the mistaken assumption that should this not be accepted, that a player in vCrow be admitted into Dlords instead (which was not the case), which lead to the protest as was seen in GC. I have left Dlords, as Belar has given me leave to do, and will not seek to return until after the ending of this war.

GNU, Illy is a better place with you in it. You are an honorable warrior and I respect your decision. Additionally, every single person playing Illy today makes it a better game. We are friends Aug but I do have to disagree with you on this. Saying abandoning and quitting is better than surrendering is why players are leaving. I think surrender can be achieved if both party's can agree, which is hard to achieve but not impossible. just a thought from me mate |

This would have more credibility if it came from someone who was fighting. I respect those who choose to continue to fight, but I respect those who make peace more. Sometimes it takes more courage to lay down arms than to take them up. That's something I learned from watching people who have made peace in past wars, like Valar and Dwarven Druids and Roads and many more.

Aug I have stated many times in GC, that I understand this is a game and that I wont fold because I wont care. However SOME players may feel pressured and leave illy. SO they are loosing out on this game and we are loosing out on them, I don't really think that's fair for both sides really, surrender shouldn't be something to be scared of ------------- BlackBloodedChampion "Will Work for War" |

St Aug, do you not see how hypocritical you are being. On the first point you claim your (justifiable) right to come on here and tell people NOT to surrender, but then you criticize those who say people should not be pushed toward that path. Do you honestly think you have the right to say what you want, but that others have no right to say anything in opposition? Secondly your stance, whilst it being 'your stance' is very odd for someone that has not become involved in this war, your actions themselves are hypocritical. If you believed what you are claiming then surely you would join the coalition and fight to your very last city for them. Further, you go on about this being 'just a game' and again in that sense you are right, but then you claim surrendering in this game signifies something serious. With all these hypocrisies and contradictions, do you really think we should take your posts with even a pinch of seriousness? This thread is not about you or your views... this thread has seen two people give public confirmation of their surrender, which should not be criticized, after all this is a game and if they are no longer finding the war enjoyable then why should they continue, rather than surrendering from the war and getting on with parts of this game that they personally do enjoy? ------------- <Deranzin> I'd agree with darkone on that [21:59]<ropadope> you know I am perverted <Bartleby> dark is upsetting some peeps |
