This post is directed to SC and TC:

I realize your focus is on other things but Harmless members have several critical petitions submitted, some are days old.   Could you please take a look at them?   I'm sure we aren't the only alliance that has issues given the bugs and glitches that are being reported.

Thank you!  :)

You do realise you can contact GM's via IGM if it really is that important.... shouldn't really advise my opponents, but I guess I am a nice guy afterall.   ;)

If this refers to the siege continuing after Anjire's Exodus, please be aware that the siege has been recalled. Dark will not exploit such a bug when fighting an honorable foe like Anjire.
Cheers,

You can't fulfill your personal need for attention though IGM, though.

I have no such thing Auro, perhaps you should not judge others by your own persona.

Was just giving some honest advice, but if that is the way you and your friends act when someone tries to help, I am not surprised you have so many enemies in this game.

I had a similar thing in the last war when one of my alt cities appeared to still be under siege despite exodusing in time. It said I was still under siege but no damage was taken.

Yeah, that has happened to vCrow cities too but they were taking damage.  I am sure they are working on that issue.

IGM's were sent, no need to get rude and nasty and I was asking for a petition to be checked.  There is a problem with technical support in the game, it's gone from bad to worse.

Thank you Halcyon, I hope they fix this bug for good this time.

+1 for Dark. Can only hope that if this fault is consistent that everyone will behave the same.

Cheers,

NAAM is now experiencing this issue the second time. So far this was exploited by the coalition and we lost one town due to the glitch.

Wait how does that work when sending the raze army?  Do they attack an empty sq or do they march over to where the city exodused?

Not sure. Maybe ask Fluff from NC. I think he destroied the city we lost. Maybe I can find out when Lomenur is ready to fall.

They set up as per normal where the city was originally.

Janosch, I have requested the siege be recalled.   Please let us know if any city is glitched like this in the future so we can ensure quick response.

Has there been any response to your petition?

The petition is still unasigned. In the rush I labled it as Rules & Policies. Should I make a new one?

However, I also mailed to Luna.

You don't need to make an additional petition. And disregard the "unassigned" designation. It can be in the process of being reviewed and still say that.

NC has had it used against them as well, luckily the devs were able to stop the attack just short of raze pop being reached. The attacking army did not recall on their own.

NC has ordered the recall of the bugged siege on Janosch.  We are of the opinion that players in the game should not suffer due to game glitches.

I hope the community can maintain this level of respect for each other.  We can all war with each other with respect and dignity for our enemy.

Spot on SB, speaking for myself, if anyone experiences this from an army of mine please let me know immediately and I will recall the army(s) immediately. I don't care who wins the war as long as they win fair and square.

@ GMs
On a similar note I had a siege attack a noob with rainbow protection who had unfortunately been placed where a player had exo'd away from my siege.

I thank the Coalition and particularly Sir Bradley and Anjira for the withdrawal of the sieges around my city! (Though the sieges were not really around my city :( ) This change of mind from NC actually came too late for my city and it is completely demolished to pop 0…

Maybe this saved the player that exodused away? I wish I would have had the same luck.

However, we hope from now on both sides will recall the god dam siege prior to towns population getting to 0.

Janosch,

As I explained through igm, 5 camps bombarding 30 cats an hour do a tremendous amount of damage.  By the time I was notified of the issue and gave the order to withdrawal the siege it was several hours later.  To further complicate the matter the NC member who set up the siege camps had RL commitments that evening that pulled him away from the game until very late.

I am sorry we could not recall earlier.  However, the full blame of this situation is on the Illyriad Development Team whom have not address the game glitch.  The lack of response to this game glitch is a slap in the face to players who worked extremely hard to build their cities up.  Janosch made a proactive decision to exodus away.  That should be respected.  However, now the city is essentially rendered useless.

As a sign of goodwill to the community I ask that the devs PLEASE address the issue.  Players have spent their own money on cities.  These are paying customers to Illyriad.  They deserve more than being ignored when they lose their hard earned work due to system problems...

This issue was petitioned over a week ago when a member of NC fell victim to the same glitch.  The Devs are well aware of it, yet it has not been dealt with.

Given the current server war at hand, I imagine further neglect to this issue will only harbour more negative goodwill.

SB,

no point in arguing about this. As I mentioned in igm, I understand that help for my city came too late now for variouse reasons. Just wanted to thank you for withdrawing and that we hope this bug will not be expolited in the future. It is certainly one of the more frustrating glitches in this game and given the current war must be fixed asap. According to my information the bug is known to the devs since over a month ago.

Happy gaming!

J

Isn't this bug going to happen often? Exodus seems to be a common strategy to avoid sieges. I even had someone exodus on me during a simulated siege exercise! Although IIRC, my army was converted to a direct attack, and ultimately bounced.

Whilst I'm not involved in the current conflict. I struggle to understand why there has been no response from illy tech on this issue. If this is a war game then why don't you react to obvious faults in your combat system?

Because the most common prestige item used is insta-build and they make more money if somebody rebuilds their city from scratch.  Sure that person is annoyed but as long as they don't quit a customer who is spending money.

I dare say the best customer would actually be somebody who is in constant war and so has to rebuild from scratch over and over.

Or impatient and loves to speed their trade units at relativistic speeds.

Or both.

This glitch has been around for quite a while. Some might remember my thread about a member of Crow sieging my recently acquired and recently exodused town from over 300 squares away. I think that was around a year ago. The glitch might be one they're having difficulty fixing.

This bug has been around intermittently since the time Exodus was introduced in November 2011.  It mostly gets noticed when there are wars on.

Hi,

I am receiving the following error with the Illyriad site when logging into the game and am concerned by the security implications to my computer. It has to do with an expired Security Certificate. Has anyone else received this message? This message appears in IE, FF and on my mobile. Thanks
