I find that it is darn rude and unhospitable to all our unaffiliated co-players out there in Illyriad that the forums do not reflect current events - such as official conflicts/war and the like. Even if youre a small player you are likely to be curious of the ongoings of Illyriad. So I would like to encourage everyone to post any update on war declarations, or similar "good-to-know" information here in this thread. | CK and RE are currently in truce mode (and talking) which has lasted for 5 days so far. The whole small thing would have been over in 4 days had NC not intervened. |

Except for that whole...what was it again... complete destruction? Or do you mean that given the size differences that CK would have completely crushed RE by then? OR, and this is just a thought... The fact that NC DID intervene showed CK leadership that Bullying isn't ok... and impressed the need to talk it through? Now imagine if they had started by talking, instead of sieging... what horrors of war would have been unleashed then?  ------------- Illy is different from Physics- Reactions are rarely Equal, and rarely the opposite of what you'd expect... |

Sisren I understand your meaning, but lets just focus on the short simple and official declarations, I know there may be much more info/discussion/etc. about the subject that is relevant, but I fear the thread would explode in pointless bickering/discussions, so with that in mind, lets keep this thread directed at our young players and to the brief point :) Any discussions into the motivations behind declarations should be kept in a seperate thread please. Although Tord, by claiming that this is a"generalist" thread on the topic of war might escape using the The Caravanserai for the wrong purposes by the narrowest of margins, your post, Sisren, is clearly commenting on the Politics and Diplomacy of specific alliances. Actually I would prefer it if this thread were moved back to that tab so that I can get on with enjoying the creative literature,music and tales put forward by illy's comminuty rather than your banal attempts at pnp. ... and don't call me a git...

If all the wars aren't connected behind the scenes, I'm sure they will be (in a more overt fashion) at some point in the near future. I'm actually glad someone is making a list, and probably would have seen it sooner if it had been in politics and diplo (which it is now). That being said, I have a recommendation for improvement. I'm not sure if they're all already in chronological order, but it might be nice for people who want to see the timeline that events unfolded if they were sorted thusly and included the day and time of the declaration. I was just thinking, I imagine order of events is rather important to the parties involved in the wars, so the context is probably important for people trying to keep up with current events.

I hate being the slowest guy in the room. You claimed the sov around the new square with you other towns, because if someone else had claimed sov adjacent to your city while your armies are stuck, you wouldn't have been able to challenge it? Also, "It will be coming back after a couple of days." Nothing like Illy to remind you that time is an illusion  |
