I decided to open a new thread to plan a massive feeding of the http://forum.illyriad.co.uk/heart-of-corruption_topic2004.html" rel="nofollow - Heart of Corruption . Why to do it?
it's still not clear if the DEVs will help to feed Audrey for Halloween. If it doesn't happen it will start officially the 4th Wave! Some people has kept sending troops and diplos after the end of the Third Wave, so they will be rewarded if Audrey starts beating without help before time. Remember to igm me any unit that you are sending so I can count you as quester in the correct wave! The main winner will be the quester with a range matching the 3 ending numbers of the Eurolotto of the 25th December. Remember that only half of the jackpot will be used! 001 032 anarchaic THIRD WAVE (10th-20th October) I leave to you what to use. Diplomatic units has demonstrated to be effective, but less powerful. Again I offer free horses to help build scouts. I will accept also donations of gold or horses so if I have enough I can try again to hire a new alliance to build massively T1 scouts. Statistics:
SECOND WAVE (20th-30th September) Next wave will consist only in T1 scouts! Easy right? Cook them, as many as you can, if you need horses igm me! I bought 120K just for this contest I will be happy to provide you with them. We want to check if diplomatic units has a real effect on the Heart of Corruption, if this wave works we will manage to make it beat very easily! Good luck! Statistics:

Raffle rules: 1) Send you army in advance to try to reach the heart the 15th September 2) take a screenshot of the Movements screen http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/#/Military/Movements (you have to wait until the recall button disappear). Even if it is not required a minimum number of troops, let's try to be fair, just sending really low number of troops will not be considered an attack. 3) if you are not in the list of questers, send an igm to Gyronn and ask to be added 4) if the Heart of Corruption starts to beat between the 15th and the 20th the whole jackpot will be used in the prizes, if it doesn't just the half of it, and the other half will be used in the next scheduled attack 5) 3 prizes will be assigned: 1 with 1/2 of the jackpot used and 2 with 1/4 of it 6) all the questers in the list the 19th will have assigned a range of numbers, if the ending numbers of the EuroLotto (http://www.eurolotto.com/results/) of the 20th is in your range you will take the first prize (1/2), the other next players over and down you will take the consolation prizes (1/4). To receive the prizes it will be asked as proofs the attack screenshot plus the attack message. If you can't provide them in the next 48h, the next winner will be the player under you in the list for 1/2 prize and lower 1/4 prize and upper you for the upper 1/4 prize. I would recommend sending any unit you don't want to pay the upkeep for. Such as cav units in an archer town. Assassins you haven't used ect. Units with higher attack are worth more than units with lower attack. At least according to the other thread. I suggest at least 1k units per town. More is of course better, but 1k means the smaller accounts can join in as well :D

It is elementals if you send one in the army it always comes back (so far anyways). You get a different mail and your army turns around and drags itself home. I don't know if elemental armies triggered an undead army last time - common sense says it wouldn't but I'm not certain. |

How will you be doing the raffle? Also, for those players located in the far north, I figure maybe a maxed Forced March commander of T-1 cav will get there by 9-1 (and I'm not gonna waste a leveled commander) but based on the way it worked before we should be able to get some action during the next few days if it activates. Does that seem likely to those of you in the know? ------------- |

I have some ideas of how to do it, but 1st September is too close, I'm still contacting the leaders of the alliances, people is joining now and starting to produce the armies. So I decided to cancel the attack that date and delay it until I finish the round of contacts, then I will publish the date of attack at least 10 days before it, and also the exact rules of the raffle. |

I think 10 days is a good time frame it opens it up right across Elgea. As previously stated in the thread without the ele's no part of the armies come back. So careful with army commanders it would be sad to lose a high level one.

First she need to be beating, to be beating she needs to be attacked by a large number of troops. Once she is beating, when attacked again the commanders get corrupted and they attack their origin city, when killed they drop a tentacle. |

Thats kind of it.... The more she is fed (; this is done by sending dips and troops on suicide missions) the more land she corrupts, once she covers enough terrain she begins to beat (I think she needs about 70 corrupted squares). When she beats you send units at her, they are corrupted and march back against the city that sent them, these corrupted units may randomly drop a tentacle (of your racial type) if they are defeated by your defending force. I think that about sums it up. In regards to the tentacles, I do not think anyone has found a use for them yet, even collecting one of each racial type in a city does not seem to do anything. |

According to the old HOC thread...yes ive just trawled through it to find this....the temples were:
I do not believe that any of the new updates are required to figure out Audrey, I do not believer that the devs would be cruel enough to give Elgea Audrey, allow us to interact with her - bring her to beat and release undead at us if she wasnt fully live. I do however want to make it clear that not all undead armies drop tentacles. I sent several last time allowed some to win when they hit my castles and some to lose none dropped anything. - I did type out a whole other reply for this thread then hit the wrong button and lost it im sure this is only half of what i wanted to say.... :S

As there are only 3 temples and 4 races it is unlikely that would work, however it is worth a shot if anyone wishes to give away tentacles. Aside from the number of temples, there is also the fact that many people have tried just sending resources to places to try and solve mysteries and to my knowledge this kind of action has never worked. |

The attack reports never show you actually hitting anything, you just lose your army, including your commander. Has anyone gotten any undead headed back to the attacking cities? I don't have any incoming, my army hit at 05:21. Until now I had confirmation of 66K troops with an attack value of 2M points sent against the Heart of Corruption. We corrupted 4 squares more, but there are still armies in the way, so I expect that more will be corrupted in the next days. I had only confirmation about 30% of the questers, so probably in 1 or 2 days all that numbers will rise. Thank you again to all the people who is making this quest possible. Working together we will see it beating again :) |

Time lapse of the 9-15 feeding, quality is sorry, but the program to string them together(Stopmotion) is crashing now, so its what I got. Heres the script I used if anyone is interested(its bash, sorry windows people), this was done on Ubuntu 12.04 in KDE. Save that as 'take_screenshot_of_map.sh'(dont forget to 'chmod u+x'), adjust the offsets for where the map will stay on your screen, and run like below(CTRL+C to stop). Thanks gyronn, to clarify, I was suggesting the devs/GMs start to create time lapse video of events for us in the future. The one I made took up a monitor for about a day, had some bits cutout for various reasons, and I mostly wanted to throw the idea at GM Luna. |

(http://www.puzzleslogic.com/illy/hoc.gif) I tried to find out what is needed for 1 corrupted square and there was theory about +50k exp/upkeep units but this was not confirmed. My 34500 stalwarts split-ed into 30 armies where not enough and if it is based on exp or on attack or on number of troops it is much more. |
