My town Baobabynas has an army "A1". It has 4 divisions:
Division: Cavalry, Move speed: 12 sq/hr
Division: Ranged, Move speed: 7 sq/hr
Division: Spear, Move speed: 7.5 sq/hr
Division: Sword, Move speed: 6.25 sq/hr
However the resulting speed of the whole army is: Move speed: 5 sq per hr.
The game does not take into account that commander of Division: Sword has a riding horse equiped.

(Also a petition filled)
This was the first crafted item I tried to use, and it appears to be not working... :(

When I was claiming sov squares - the equipment worked for me.
The movement speed of all my armies was 40.5.

Have you checked those other divisions to be sure they're empty?

I have seen a bug quite often where the move speed of the army as a whole seems to get stuck on a wrong value.

You have to delete the entire army and recreate - then it will apply the speeds and bonuses correctly.

I saw this with no special equipment whatsoever, just one division with troops and a single commander.

I've seen that bug as well. Remove all equipment and rebuild and re-equip the army from scratch.

Of course, how would you know if your defensive gear failed to function correctly during an attack?

In order for a riding horse to give a speed advantage all units in the division, not just the commander, must have one.

Llyr, I've seen it where there are phantom units in the division. I sent one army out with stalwarts to hunt. When it got back, I swapped in axemen and equipped the commander. The army speed was still 7. Tearing it down and rebuilding it allowed things to function correctly.

Thanks, it worked.

Yeah, I've had to do this as well. As KP stated the armies just get bugged and have to be deleted.

Since several of us have seen the bug, has anyone noticed a repeatable way to make it happen?
