have you tried clearing your browser cache? Also consider trying using a different browser.

I have had Illy issues with chrome lately--just Illy, no other sites. When it happens I just switch to safari (but it's a bit frustrating for sure!).

I have had issues with another game with Chrome but am having this issue
myself today - in both Chrome and Firefox. I have rebooted. I can get
further along in making clicks in Firefox than in Chrome but can still
not take any actual actions. It was fine this morning (before the
reboot). I have not updated FF recently. Can't speak for Chrome because
it does what it wants, it's just like that.

What ever the issue was it cleared itself up in the last hour in both Chrome and FF without me doing anything.
Chat is back (it was gone) and I can click buttons (which I couldn't even if I could get a page to come back up)
It was really odd.

Grin Rill
Issue is back again today.
On Firefox, it looks like everything that is in the herald, all the 'hidden' pages are displayed across the screen. Clicking nothing works. Only spins and no chats , they are all blank.
In Chrome, I do not get the weird displays. Clicking stuff works... rarely, mostly it spins and there is no alliance chat.
Clearing stuff does not help.
Last time it went away on its own but about 36 hours past (and no, I didn't reboot after the first time) Did loose a day's worth of everything.
/me sighs

I have some friends that are having this issue as well.. Going on three days now. Anyone know a fix? Seems to be happening on all browsers.

Rebooted because of windows updates, cleared cache and cookies again, just cause Still no resolution. Frustrating.
Forum is doing some odd stuff too. First time I posted this, there was a bunch of what looked like code within the post that I edited out. Not happening anywhere else. (Did it a second time, editing in a different browser to see if it does it here, currently in Chrome, original post in FF).

I have the original Nook color, it's an eReader by Barnes and Noble and it has web abilities (much less than a modern tablet) and I decided to see what happens.
I am getting a security certificate message that says the validity of the illyriad.co.uk certificate expired in September of 2012.
I wonder if that is causing a lot of the problems?
And my PC still won't let me log in.
Edited:
So I went into my virus scanner and put *illyriad.co.uk into the exclusion sites and guess what? I can log in now, on Chrome, Firefox is still being stubborn, but it's let me further in than it has before. So maybe I have some hope? (Firefox is also still putting in a lot of nonsense when I try to post to the forum from it.)
So my guess is that there is a a problem related to site security that Avast is saying it's not safe to log in here!

Current update:
After changing settings in Antiviral software twice and popups once in Chrome only, I can change pages by clicking the page and refreshing. I can sometimes see alliance chat, but not always (world is currently disabled). I cannot push buttons to make anything build, buildings or items. They display, but do not work, do not even get cursor spinning like trying to move screens normally does. Clicking on coordinates brings up the little popup, but nothing in there opens up the next screen that tells you how many harvesters of what type, for example.
It makes me want to cry.
My ISP is att.net in the US. Don't know if it is on that level or something else. I've about exhausted everything I know to try to make it work.

I feel for you, I've had lots of problems with Illy over the last 6 months. I also use AT&T and live in the U.S. It is not a problem on our end though, because I have no problems multitasking using multiple apps and having several pages open in several different games.
It all comes crashing down the minute I click on Illyriad.
It has gotten much better this last week. I don't suppose you've tried numerous other browsers, even the less known ones like Opera?
Also it might help, doubtful though, if you install Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 4.0.

No, I haven't tried other browsers, well, save the basic android browser in semi-tablet and that is where it wouldn't let me pass the certificate error.
What is that framework if I may ask? I'm not geeky enough.

It's been 10 days since I could log in.
I really think there is an issue, even though it is not impacting very many of us. Whether that issue is at Illyriad, our ISP, or what, I have no clue. I just know I'm about to give it up. I've put a not too small amount of money into my accounts in this game that I now feel was wasted, along with about 18 months of my time.

When I log on with my android pad I have the message that the site has not updated its security certificate is not current. I've uninstalled and re-installed Chrome to no avail. Please help!! If you are using Windows 8 operating system the latest update corrupted itself for me. I had to wipe my drives completely and do a fresh install. Everything is now working smoothly for the first time.

Malcolcx what you have posted there is part of css file that contains references to sendori images like: http://cdn.sendori.com/images/btn_learn.png
I never hear about it but if you put sendori in google you will find out more. It seems to be some kind of malware:
https://helpdesk.nwciowa.edu/index.php?/News/NewsItem/View/10/malware-watch--beware-of-sendori "This is being caused by a piece of malware (Short for "Malicious Software") called "Sendori" --Sendori claims to "help" your browsing experience, but all it does is hijack your computer's DNS entries, and redirect your web requests through their servers first, before proceeding to the original destination."
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect_other-protect_scanning/how-to-remove-sendori-malware/a35e5c4b-63c5-4a59-abab-669a76717ed9
So I believe your PC is infected by that malware.
