If it is possible, I would like to suggest hotkeys, such as pressing CTRL+ something to get to the town map or world map or perhaps research? :]

Obviously you would have to make sure the hotkeys don't overlap with major internet browsers' hotkeys..

I wasn't too sure if this was possible without some kind of plugin (or whetever :D).
