Updates (10 MAY):
- Buglet (resolved again) - Diplomatic Upkeep after Quest death
- Despite being, erm, fixed on the 7th of May... this was still an
issue for < 10 players ingame, and has - hopefully - now been
bugkilled entirely.
For the last 18 hours we haven't had a reoccurrence of the issue, but
will continue to monitor it.
- Change - Diplomatic Quest Descriptions
- Some Diplomatic Quest descriptions have been altered to highlight
their specific requirements: Spies in the case of "Suspicions of
Treachery" and Advanced Scouts in the case of "A Herd Day's Night
Part 2/3").
However, we strongly encourage all players to read the quest
descriptions carefully. In the future, more advanced quests won't be
leading you through the requirements click-by-click - there will be
multiple paths to fulfilment - and so we don't want to encourage too
much reliance on button-mashing vs brain thinking.
- Buglet (resolved) - Diplomatic Quest Location Choice
- Under certain circumstances far too tedious to detail, some players
were finding that the location assigned to a quest was further away than
expected - and in some instances, uncompletable in time.
We believe this has now been rectified - but would "welcome" petitions
if the quest distance still exceeds the time allowed to complete. Oh,
alright, not "welcome" exactly. I think "hate" is the better word. But
we don't shoot the messenger. Usually.
- Buglet (resolved) - Hermit Players on Quests
- Players who chose a... shall we say... 'hermetic' existence by
settling the far flung corners of the map with their second and
subsequent cities, far away from the hoi polloi, were running
into a bug that assigned them the same city every time they
accepted the diplomatic quest "Suspicions of Treachery".
The reason it did this was - because the code could not find any city
close to them - its "last ditch" attempt was to select the city closest
to the center of the map, simply so it could at least give a valid quest
objective. The King of Illyriad officially apologises to the poor city
holder who was under "suspicion of treachery" multiple times - despite
being an active player!
The quest selector will now choose a random city instead of the same
city each time. This city might well still be too far away for these
'hermits' to complete the quest in time; but frankly that is their
choice rather than ours. If a quest requires interaction with a player,
and - by choice - the questing player has decided to settle their city
far, far away from the general population, then it is not the quest's
fault!

click click click, lol, who would do such a thing. Anyhow - good to hear, thanks.
'Players who chose a... shall we say... 'hermetic' existence '
nothing is hermetic with lc about. I'm just pushing the barriers!!
Im glad to hear that I wont be taking 4 days for a quest anymore!
How are the level threes coming on? (well, i may as well be shot for a turkey as a pigeon.)
