Hello,

I have two suggestions I would like to make in regards to selling goods to other players.

1) When accepting a buy order the game calculates the Total Cost by adding the Total Order Value to the Total Tax Amount. Please see the example below:

This amount does not make any sense in regards to the sale as neither the buyer or the seller is sending or receiving this amount of gold. I suggest having the the Total Tax Amount subtracted from the Total Order Value and changing the term Total Cost to something like Net Gold Received. In this example the amount of gold I would have earned would be 2,102,866.

2) When placing sell orders, the Total Cost calculation works just fine. When deciding to amend a price downwards there is a nice disclaimer that informs the seller that he/she will not receive a tax refund for this action. Please see below:

I would like to see this disclaimer or something similar to it  before pressing confirm during a sell order. This reminder could influence a seller when trying to decide between accepting a buy offer or creating a sell offer that  could potentially be amended or canceled due to competition from other sellers.

I enjoy math and accounting a great deal. My Alliance and the Market in Illyriad is what keeps me coming back everyday  (and motivates me to purchase Prestige every now and then Wink). I would love to see the Market continue to grow and improve.

Thank you.

I think this is a good idea. Neve runderstood the "total order value" of a sell order.

Hello again,

To further clarify the importance of request number one I took another screenshot. Please see below:

In an attempt to further my sales I created a second Trader and I sent him to Zhuhai. This hub is closer to me than Centrum but it has a higher tax rate. Despite the higher tax rate, it is actually more profitable for me to sell these Exoskeletons to the highest buyer in Zhuhai (for once Clap). This fact was only clear to me after I calculated the Net Order Value myself. Once again please fix the Accepting Buy Order screen and the "Total Cost" value so that I may continue to make sound financial decisions without having to calculate it myself.

Thanks.

*bump*

I created a petition on this topic nearly two weeks ago and I have shared the link to this thread a few times in GC but I can't seem to get the attention of  any of the GM's on this matter at all. Cry

If any of you agree with the simple changes I mentioned earlier please show your support.

Thank you.

You got my full support. It should be easy to fix, as it seems just replacing the sign to substract instead of adding. But for some reason i believe GM s are a bit busy elsewhere ;)

cheers,

I don't think this change would influence my gameplay experience in any significant way.

what do we care about how much taxes we pay or not that can or should be defined by the player.
anyway, i agree. A too complicated operation is not usefull here. just how many and how much is enough i think for the market after the taxes and all.... who gives a damn ?

You can't. That would allow people to trade back and forth between their alts with no limit, creating huge falsified trade scores.

At least now, they have to pay 3% on each transaction.
