Founding an alliance of one is rather pointless. If you operate two accounts and have them located close to each other, it can make sense to start an alliance with both accounts as members (which I've done). That lets them cooperate militarily, such as occupations of rare resource squares. Otherwise, why bother? If you're a new player you should join a training alliance.

I know it's no use. However, is it possible to dissolve the alliance now?

if you're the sole member you can just quit the alliance and it will dissolve?

There are alliances listed that have zero population, presumably because the single person who started each one became inactive. If you quit as a sole member I would assume the alliance would disappear, but I don't know for sure.

And if you want to be in a small alliance, you can always join mine Smile.
