What I understood about this structure after reading the in-game description is that it should result in a reduced cost per hour of ranged units.

I have a Lv5 Archer's Field but my ranged units cost the same per hour. I know this by looking at the military unit page and the taxes page.

Did I misunderstood something? Isn't the purpose of the Archer's Field to reduce gold taken per hour by ranged units?

Check your tax pages and below upkeep you find
Ranged discount (10.0%) approx
Behind this you see the amount that is subtracted, but it has a round-off error that makes it look weird. The gold upkeep in the barracks is without the discount and pretty useless as source of information.

Thank you for answering.

Here a screenshot.

Did you mean there? Is that normal or I am looking in the wrong place?

Yes something should show there if you have the archers field.  If it is not, I would recommend you make a petition.  However, going by your pop in that city I would not bother having any of these T2 buildings in it, they are not worth while until your city is much bigger.

One possibility is that as you dont actually have any archers, perhaps the discount only displays if you have something to discount.

Most embarrassed Embarrassed.

I will explain:

I have two cities. The first time I looked in the correct one, didn't see any discount in ranged units and then starting to wonder why, then I posted.

After reading the first answer I went back to my city (the wrong one this time Embarrassed) and looked in the taxes page. That screen shot is from the wrong city, when you said that I don't have any ranged unit then I realized that was not the city with the Archer's Field.

Actually, the taxes pages, now that I know where to look, shows the correct amount. 7.5 % according to my Archer's Field Lv.

Ok, my worries were for nothing. Thanks both of you for the help.
