Thanks Noki; I was too cowardly to send mine. Hats off to whoever did it. Also I'm receiving some new info and this may be a terrible, terrible combination of a bad fluke of luck and also bad information I received long, long ago. You see, someone told me long ago that Atilla was Sunstorm out of the blue. It was a weird message from a new account that disappeared afterward but it was shortly (relatively; I'm hazy when exactly afterwards) after the outting of Attilla's network took place so I assumed it was someone from one of the alliances I assisted with that shenanigan making a junk account to anonymously contact me. I trusted that info even though I had heard in the future that it wasn't the case. Still, waiting for confirmation though. I will keep you informed. EDIT: It was a terrible combination of a bad fluke of luck and also bad information I received long long ago. Sunstorm is innocent and probably a pretty cool guy; I don't even know him. |

I am extremely upset that you dragged Sunstorm's name into your internal mess. His only connection to this affair was that it was his army that killed your defending army(w/elemental) on the Rill tourney square. It's been determined. It was blind dumb luck and the product of that misinformation. I am awaiting my judgement. I was wrong and Sunstorm is NOT AttillaTheHun. Please contact Anjire for a copy of my apology. I may or may not be around Illyriad in the future; but I still wish the best community in all of game-dom the best. I sincerely apologize to everyone and Sunstorm in particular. He has done nothing wrong and I acted too rashly; before I even had spoken to both of my sitters. It wasn't the one I didn't trust whom I should have trusted as he proves himself every day. It was the one I did trust because he didn't know any better and was trying to win the tournament and did not know it was irreplaceable. The fact that it was Sunstorm who destroyed the army is incredible bad luck. As such this whole situation is all my fault. For dragging Sunstorm's good name through the mud I hearby resign my position as Expedition Leader for StA and am putting in place a council of StA members to be more in line with our idea that we are all equals in StA. You may contact KillianBlack, Chaos Armor, or Loud Whispers; or any other StA member for diplomatic matters as they will most likely be able to contact someone who handles such things. I myself I think I will more or less banish from Illyriad willingly. I would like to return some day however, though maybe not as a leader of StA. That said, I will try to keep the accounts active by logging in enough to keep them from self destructing due to inactivity. In addition this will keep those accounts available to StA to use as they see fit. Rest assured that I will not be making day to day decisions in StA however as of late I have proven myself unfit to lead. When I return I will be sure to let you all know. Know that this community's company I have enjoyed more than any other and I will miss it while I am away. If you wish to speak to me you may private message me on the Bay12 forums where I use the name Duuvian. Also know that everything that transpired was entirely my own snap decisions with no input from any other member of StA. |

So while technically I'm leader I'm really not. I won't be giving any direction or anything for at least a month though they can visit me on the B12 forums while I serve my penance. This was entirely unforseen though it is funny in a way. Try it if you have a square in the tourney; try to promote someone to leader and you can't. It gives you a message that says "You can't remove someone in your alliance while they are on a tournament square." or something along those lines. Seriously though that's brought a bit of humor to a very dark day for me. I'll stay away for another month if necessary once the tourney is done. What say you Illy? |

Wow what 20+ plus hours can change in this world of Illy. For the record, Duuvian has always been a stand up person game wise, this was completely out of the norm for him. Though being away from the game as much as he has I can see how the wheels would have turned in his head a bit more then usual. With that said, it was in fact my fault for the Elemental being in the troop set sent to the tourney square. Innocent mistake on my part, as I did not realize they were not replaceable. So for my part in the mess, I send my apologies to all involved as well. Is funny being in this game as long as I have been but still only knowing such a small part of the world we all enjoy and how it can so easily swing out of control. I also want to send a shout out to any and all who helped keep it from blowing up any more then it did. Thanks to the cooler heads prevailing in this issue. To SunStorm; I don't know you but I am sorry for any misdirection of anger that was sent in towards you. To ChaosArmor; My friend you have fought a rough battle being with us in StA, and for my part in any of that I truly apologize. To Duuvian; mistakes happen to us all. Ok, this is truly disturbing!!! Everyone loyal to me, ATTACK NOW!!!! LoL - I can't even say that with a straight face. The truth of the matter is that I just came back from a very peaceful weekend retreat (granted, I was getting sick - but it was still a lovely weekend in the woods). First, Let this be a lesson to everyone: To those of you who thought I was a drama queen, I may have been out-done with this one. (^_^) No worries Duuvian. LoL I sent you an IGM (mentioning it here as well so friends can relay the message) - this is not worth quitting over. I am not upset and not worried about this. I am sure I have been called worse things than AtH. (^_^) Haha

I don't know any of these folks (except AtH of course) but whatever happened, it seems a bit extreme to drop out of the game for something no one seems to be upset about. Maybe he was ready for a break and this was a good reason to do it? I was recently less active and the tourney has lured me back. I felt the guilt of letting my friends down, not logging in as much, doing little when I did. Boredom and RL pushed me away but friends and the fun of combat have got me back. If Duuvian decided to take this opportunity to drop out, so be it. I can see why a snap decision may cause one to feel less adequate as a leader, but dropping out is over doing it. ------------- |
