Maybe I'm looking at this wrong, but why are there no bonus or penalties for crafted items in building terrain.  I believe that is a distinct type of terrain (not plains, mountains, hills or forests) but there are no crafted items with any bonuses or penalties for the building terrain type.  Is that on oversight, or are buildings being included with one of the other terrain types for the purposes of crafted item bonuses?

With that thought in mind, has anyone fought on the shores and got a message as to what terrain type that is?  I don't see any animals on the shore so that might be a pvp question.  What sort of bonuses/penalties do the various troops get on shore terrain?  I think I recall something about this being in a future update so I'm not certain pvp is possible on shore terrain but then I don't know what happens when two people try to occupy the same shore terrain if there isn't a battle?

Buildings do have underlying terrain. Ruined towers are usually on plains, while deserted monasteries are on mountains. I've tested those two buildings and they do give different combat bonuses/penalties. So your terrain gear can be used on buildings.

Innoble posted a combat calculator a while back.  That calculator has terrain bonuses for [Buildings] that differ from [Plains], [Large Mountains], etc...  I didn't test every aspect of the calculator but the times I did it's been pretty much spot on.  I'm pretty sure I've never attacked anything on a [Buildings] terrain because I usually attack with cav and the bonuses shown in that calculator for [Buildings] are really bad for cav.  I don't know specifically what Innoble meant by "buildings" but I assumed that anytime the terrain type in brackets ([]) said [Buildings] that was a building terrain type.  Are you saying that you believe the combat terrain bonuses are the same for things marked [Buildings] as for the underlying terrain (whatever type that may be) and you calculated that different [Buildings] have different bonuses?

I just want to make sure I'm clearly hearing what you are saying your testing has shown because for a while now I've had a different understanding.

Thanks Thumbs Up
