| My alt Dorf obtained the Dwarf Battle Axe discovery in the city with Swordsmith. I did not notice when I earned it so I can't be sure how I did it. It was not from questing. It was either I completed War Axe research or I made a War Axe or I bought a War Axe or I bought a Dorf Battle Axe. Other dorfs in RES are watching closely to see when they earn this discovery. |

| I think I made the discovery (for humans) out of nothing. I have a swordsmith, but when the 'discovery made' notification came on it didn't just level and I didn't just finish any research. Maybe it's just having the swordsmith, and that it comes at random time. Discoveries for quests arn't given at a standard point or for certain quest either I believe. |

You get a discovery for researching 20 crafted items. I have also unlocked the dwarven battle axe but I am not sure how I unlocked it. Well from what I can tell to get the discovery horses you have to research 20 crafted things. ------------- Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so you will not be dependent on anybody. |

splint mail research opens war wolves mount discovery for orks, also I made the orkish sword discovery, but this seemed to be retrospectively awarded, as I hadn't built or researched anything at the time of the dicovery, all I had was a swordsmith. edit-I have researched over 20 different crafting Items, the splint mail could have been 20th, giving me the wolf. ------------- http://elgea.illyriad.co.uk/a/p/124253" rel="nofollow">

1) Building a level 1 swordsmith results in the racial weapon discovery (such as the dwarf battle axe) 2) Researching 20 different crafted items results in the racial mount discovery (such as the Battlesteed)

| If it's something simple such as 20 crafting researches done, then nothing else happened with 72 crafting researches done. Plan B, I'll finish the various cost reduction and elite researches in the military branch before more crafting researches in this town. |

I have towns where I have researched all armours, horses and weapons on both human and elven accounts and I do not have the Human armour or the elven spirit bow, someone said n another thread that you get the third crafting discovery for researching all trade techs, not sure if it is true but I am giving it a go in a few cities. |
