This is mostly a question for the devs but if someone else has tried it and could report that would be great.

Upon examining the Workshop Specialization research, I have come up with a few questions. When we research Workshop Specialization, does that mean that we have to specialize our workshops right away if we have any or can we choose to wait and specialize them later after the research has been done. Where do we do this, is there a special menu? If you specialize a building and you want to change it later, can you do that if you demolish the building completely and build another of the same type?

In general could someone explain how this works a little better?

I just don't want to spend 14 days researching something and find out that because I researched it that I have to specialize when I haven't had a chance to experiment much with crafting yet.

Thanks in advance.

i would like to know this also ... like is it the swordsmith that specialises in say razor edged sword ? or is it the blacksmith that specialises in the razor edged sword and is locked out of producing anything else from then on ...

also if i build 2 x swordsmiths, could i specialise one in razor edged sword and the other in Dwarven Battle Axe ... so that the blacksmith could produce both at 3x ??

Please Obi-Wan you're our only hope ...

not sure where, but there was a reply to a similar question and it is only the new building is locked not the base one... so you can specialize to build vanguard leather and still produce normal vanilla leather...

but be aware you share the same queue...

And, I researched it in a city, and actually it does nothing bad ... I can still do anything I want.
I am not even sure the following interface to select what you want produce is active...

The ability to choose your specialization isn't in yet.

My question is more regarding whether or not you can switch the specialization, and how?

i remember GM TC stating that the only way to change the specialty was to totally demolish the building [you lose the current specialization] and to then rebuild it all the way back up ...
