We (Aesir) acknowledge that we acted as an aggressor against TLR after TLR's
victory over TRO, and as judge of Eternal Fire for what We deems
excessive and burdensome terms of surrender. We acknowledge this
issue would have been better addressed through public opinion and open
channels of communication, attempting to build a coalition of support
and exertion of pressure to bring about lesser
demands by TLR. We apologize and regret the damage done to smaller
members of TLR in the initial exchange of hostilities, and offers
recompense and reparations. We also regret the fact that the
conflict has spread, drawing in additional alliances
previously existing at peace.
G0DsDestroyer
In accordance with the peace between us and TLR , 50 million gold has been sent from Aesir's alliance capital to The Long Road's alliance capital for compensation of losses of all TLR members, and we (Aesir) ask nothing in the way of resources from TLR for our losses.

This is a momentous day. Both are proud alliances I hope that they will be able to work more closely in future!

Eternal Fire> TLR acknowledges and accepts Aesir’s public statement. TLR also acknowledges that the Terms of Surrender set forth to end the conflict between TLR and TRO may in fact have been burdensome, i.e., transfer of medals or city size and placement limits. However, while TLR acknowledges the terms asked for may have been harsh and difficult to implement, our position is that the terms, having been agreed upon by the alliances directly involved in the conflict, are in fact binding. We do hope, however, that our past decisions may serve as a lesson for those seeking to resolve future conflicts, that terms set, even agreed upon, that are perceived as burdensome may cause bitter feelings to brew and give birth to future hostilities. It is our hope that our past decisions will not set a burdernsome precedent

I was going to say something about TLR's violation of the TOS, but I think it's really time we moved on from this. People know what happened. So, about those herbs ...

Both statements are well written and a cedit to both alliances. That marks the end of the second great attack on TLR in recent months. I will say this. There are those in other alliances , not necessarily, TRO or Aesir. who seek to create mischief by portraying TLR and it' s leader as villains. These are people who prefer to work behind the scenes and have their wars fought by proxy. Even now they are trying to stir up more trouble. The wording of the TLR statement is gracious but don't think for a minute that it is an admission.

I actually got that impression more from the Aesir statement.

Did TLR violate some agreement with Aesir? No? Then I guess that statement has no business in this thread.
And Rill, you did say something. I could say something about passive aggressiveness, but I won't... oh look at the pretty shiny minerals!

My comment was in response to abstractdream's post referencing TLR-TRO. I am not the one who brought it up, although I am the one who suggested moving on.

He posted what TLR and Aesir agreed upon and it said nothing about that. Try moving on by not bringing something up.

No, it is a joke but if you wish to take it as an invitation for war, then take it as an invitation for the Black Skull Horde to together with its allies crush their enemies without a seconds hesitation. Have a nice day!

Moby Duck is a troll account. I would not worry about any of his/her statements reflecting the ideas or opinions of anyone on the server; rather the account exists purely to attempt to stir up controversy.
So, random animosity would accomplish that goal.

The person does have some respect. He did ask Luna to change his name from Quacks to Moby Duck for me. That was nice of him.

That looks like Eternal Fire bringing up the TOS with TRO to me. A response addressing the breaking of the TOS on TLR's part is completely appropriate, though not necessarily germane to this particular thread.

Actually Garth, that was agreed upon language that referred solely to the terms. Not the breaking of those terms.

I think we're talking about two different things. I'm fine to drop it and move on.

Why are the Term's of Surrender not being met tho? TRO agreed to them so the war would end, seem's to me TRO got off lightly for a war they started but could'nt finish.

No SugarFree I've plenty, I'm just curious as to why TRO have'nt followed the TOS. That's reason enough for TLR to release the war hound's against them without fear of retribution from other alliance's.

A lot of things have been agreed on, perhaps TRO are waiting for the lump sum to be reduced.. And if "someone" doesn't keep rubbing it in their face it may be over and done more quickly

That's enough of this sort of back and forth. Take it to private messages if you need to snipe at one another.
