The Nightbringers is a year old today. On behalf of the Council and the Alliance I would like to thank Count Dooku for founding the alliance and his exceptional leadership in our early days. Thank you to every player in the community that has helped us grow through resources or advice. I would like to thank every player who has held a leadership role for it's their hard work and dedication that has gotten us to where we are today. And finally, to all of you nuts who call ~N~ home, you guys crack me up! Thank you for keeping things lively.
Now for the fun. In honor of this auspicious occasion we are making available to the community at large a Legendary City. The city 'The Nightbringers' is located in Meilla at -316, 102. The city offers little in the way of food but has all research completed except Chancery of Estates and Burgage. We invite everyone to visit, set up a siege, break someone else's siege and battle it out for this fine city. Diplos are welcome, however defenses are up so visit at your own risk. Last one standing takes the city. If you would like to join in the fun, but your alliance has a current NAP or Confed, please contact me so that we can temporarily take it down. Thanks for all the well wishes. Here is an update: ~KV~ was quick off the blocks and have the first two sieges inbound. Petalli and Arwen Oleksy, I'm waiting for you. Someone lost their Spy's and someone else lost their Sabs, they died protecting your honor. I caught an assassin and he squealed! Dunnoob needs to toughen those guys up some before sending them out. I will update again tomorrow. Have fun!

Bad, I'm a well-rounded elf! First scout to live, well done. Gossip, that's why I suggested the city would need to be exodused, the real value is that once it is sieged, all the dang research is done. I used it as a distribution point for sending vans to new players when there was still a newb ring. Plus it's just fun to have a city you are free to attack every now and then. Got a diplo report that made me laugh today:

Good news, the second siege has landed and they didn't pick the same spots to land, lets hope those who are still traveling are as lucky. I stopped counting the numbers of dead diplos

Silent, I am not going to attack the sieges, but I do have troops in the city, and now since CK has sent troops I would strongly advise those who are preparing to take the city to scout and attack before the capture. Silly Captain, take the NAP down first!

With two sieges going the city be ready for capture soon, this could be interesting if they do it while Kindly's troops are still in residence. Also, no one has taken down the wall. Good luck to you all!

Brilliant, this was very educational: If I consider to send reinforcements I should not waste time with a gathering of whatever, big cities fall fast, and the disappointed reinforcing troops simply return. And queuing a replacement for the unexpected survivors also turned out to be a bad idea.

Myr, I have also heard reports of that bug, I thought it only applied to inactive accounts, but it's good to know. Congratulations to twinklett! you rock!
