Subject: "Sent" messages

I've noticed that some of my "sent" IGMs have been deleted. I understand that the oldest ones will eventually fall off when I reach my 42 or 44 page limit but those aren't the ones that are missing. Mine seem to be random. The biggest thing is that I've noticed that every single message that I've sent to a specific person has disappeared. I'm in contact with this person 2-3 times/ week and I don't have any record of anything between us. His aren't the only ones missing either. I have random ones that are no longer there that should be.

Can anyone help? Confused

I think they are eligible to disappear after the sender deletes them, which in turn means that if they're not in sent, they're not available at all anymore.

You mean after the recipient deletes them?

Sooo, why is my sent folder almost as big as my received folder? I can't imagine that all those people haven't deleted all those mails...
I've noticed a few missing also, one that is missing was to a player who's towns haven't grown in a long time. I suppose they could be on vacation and have a sitter who deletes mail but doesn't do any building upgrades?

I pretty much never delete mail I receive from players.  I delete stuff like caravan arrival notices, quest notices and bombardment notices -- system-generated stuff.

Mail received from other players is eventually deleted.  I'm not sure if you have to read it first.  (Since I read all my player mail.)

Yeah, I expect it's generally quite common not to delete human mail.  Even as a high-profile leader of a large alliance I get way more spam from the system that ought to have been converted into notifications than human mail, which I delete just so the human mail doesn't get pushed away.  What's really sad is that most of those system messages don't even carry sufficient information to be even as useful as a proper notification.

I thought the same exact thing, Marquesta. I know I'm special and write the most interesting mail but...... LOL
