Updates (13 APR):
- Some changes to the spells display page
- The spells page in the Mage Tower and the Spell Summary page have
had some changes, notably:
- Cooldown time is now displayed in an international "13APR10" format
rather than the British "13/04/2010" format. (Stormcrow mutters
something unintelligible about Greenwich under his breath)
- Runes now, correctly, show as "uncastable" when you have a rune in
cooldown on the Spells page, rather than on the second "Review Spell"
page
- Spells in cooldown on foreign targets would remain visible in the
target's spell summary even though the effect had expired. This is no
longer the case.
4 New Spells in the Runes School- 4 New Spells for the
Runes School have just gone live - the Seeking
subschool. These Runes are defensive in nature, and are cast on your
city.
However, they only detect specific types of hostile diplomats who arrive
at your city - and slay them. Before you prepare one of these Seeking
spells, you will have to define what you wish them to target - Scouts,
Spies, Thieves, Saboteurs or Assassins. When a hostile unit or units of
this type enter your city, the rune will activate. It will ignore
other unit types.
As this is a complex magic, its research, casting and upkeep
requirements are higher than that of a standard Slaying rune; however,
as it is a more focussed magic, the number of charges each rune keeps
has been substantially raised.
Enjoy. Oh, and Saboteur units are being re-enabled on Thursday the
15th; so this is especially timely for many of you!

How will this work with the normal slaying runes? The "seeker" runes will trigger first and then kill the hostile diplomats?
If you dont have seeker runes up, will the normal slaying runes still kill the hostile diplomats?

Only one spell of a specific school type up at any one time on the same target, Wuzz...
So it's EITHER Fear Runes OR Slaying Runes OR Targetted Slaying Runes. Makes strategic choice of which spell to cast much more interesting, no?

ow yeah i forgot you can only have 1 rune up. I was thinking about another school. My bad.
And yes now you have to make strategic choices. Or you can slay all with 250 rune. Or you can target a specific class with a 400 rune.
Interesting indeed.
