These request may be overreaching.
I use other software to construct the newsletter - paint, excel, and notepad to list a few. I have no problem with this. The alliance is focused on trading.
I use excel to calculate the data. I manually enter the volume, buy, average, and sell trading data for each resource. I'm not sure how one could go about accomplishing this more efficiently. I created some price-weighted indexes to better track specific parts of the market. One is the DPI: Defense Price Index which includes weapons, armors, and siege blocks. There are a few areas of data which are repeated and must be manually updated. I would like a text field, which would mirror the inputted text.
More information about the alliance, one is a member of, would be beneficial. I keep track of member progress and trades. The only problem is, all trades are not recorded other than personal e-mails. It would add hours on-top of what I already spend. So I have people send me their top trade partners which I calculated in excel. This leaves out many trades and individual trade data, such as towns, and resources traded. I record this information to identify the alliances top trading partners and to record the profit (export) and expense (import). Alliance members leave and join without notice, unless the leader states it. When they do leave, people find out because of my newsletter. When I insert the player data (player tab in alliance profile) into excel to report the top 5 members who have the greatest increase in population based on percentage. I discover the player is no long on the list and their I locate them in Illyraid and point it out. I also track new towns and land acquired.
I have to "print screen", paste into paint, crop and adjust, and upload to a web page for a link. I noticed on the CKeditor, there is a version which allows you to insert a window that displays an outlined area of a web page.
I noticed the marketplace is offset by two days. The game time may say March 2nd but the last view-able trading data is February 29th.
These are a few difficulties I have constructing a daily newsletter. This newsletter is to better inform our alliance to meet the demand of Illyraid members. I am adding new features to accomplish this. But, I'm afraid the e-mail does not provide enough features to advance further.
I apologize for the vagueness. I hope by describing what I do and what I want to accomplish in a newsletter, would give an idea of what tools I would need to do it. I have no background in programming, I have no clue if this is feasible. Though, I have noticed there were features with other versions of CKeditor that would be useful. Their may be other ways to go about doing it, adding a special feature for alliances to create a newsletter with designated tools.
