If your forum name starts with A-M you may only play as white. If your forum name starts with N-Z you may only play as black. Please use algebraic notation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algebraic_chess_notation) for example: 1. e4 1... e5 To help keep track of where the game is, with each move merely copy/paste the table below and insert your move. Good Luck! (EDIT: and to help even the odds, if your name starts with GM, those letters can be ignored in regards to team placement  )

You're P = PirateKing playing in the black team. You can pick e5, e6, c5, or something bizarre after white's e4. I'm somewhat lost with the notation, used to e2-e4, e7-e5 (example).

| Notation is generally a capital letter for the piece that moved(K=king, Q=queen, B=bishop, N=knight, R=rook, no letter for a pawn) and the coordinates of the space it moved to. You only have to make a note of where it came from(Example: Nce4) if two of the same piece could have taken on that square. Also, if a piece is taking on the space it moves to, you put an x between the piece and the square(So Nce4 would be Ncxe4 if an enemy piece were there). |

OK. You don't like the idea of correspondence Chess. Thank you for sharing. That was very helpful. Your lack of interest does not surprise me, correspondence chess isnt for everyone. Even the ICCF only has about 100k members. Since I'm the thread starter I'll go ahead and let this thread die now if it wants to. If im not mistaken, "G's" are on the white team, unless your using "Stormcrow", which would be fine since thats what everyone calls you. Just thought I should point that out being the smart-ass that I am...

"Suboles", "Nus" and "erevum"... aren't Latin at all - are you sure these aren't typographic errors, especially since "numguam" is definitely a typo of "numquam" (with a "q") later on? Having said this, I love people who use Latin even with errors... it's a great language and needs love and nurture, and people who use it get huge thumbs up from me. And, invictusa, even though I think there are a few typos in there, the sentiment is great. If you want to put it down in English I'd be happy to give you the proper Latin translation? |

lol kk. Well it's definitely nearly-Latin, either way. Some of the words just aren't, though, and both "immortals" and "numguam" are definitely typos of "immortalis" and "numquam". SC
