| what do the trumpet icons mean on the map? I see them regularly now and notice that they move, but haven't found an explanation of them in forum. |

And here was me thinking they were members of the Illyriad Marching Band Association!  Wonder if we could found one of those? To expand on Kilo's answer, the trumpets are dipomatic units such as scouts, spies, thieves, saboteurs and assassins. If they are yellow or green, they are not coming for you. If they are blue, they are yours. If they are red, watch out! And Mana, I'm sorry, I don't play an instrument, but I'll carry the water bottles.

Good to know we got a reliable water person Rill!  To expand on Rills answer as well... Yellow are neutral and probably what you see most running about the map. Most probably these are your neighbours doing diplomatic quests or scouting NPCs for troop numbers. Green are ones belonging to your alliance or to alliances in confederation with yours. Blue like she says are yours, I have seen people panic though at their own returning diplomats (I kid you not). Red and it is time to panic and get a change of underwear ready in some cases. Some of those attacks can be NASTY! Any other colour of the rainbow comes towards you and you have a very entertaining game bug or you need to readjust your screen settings. ------------- Doesn't look good... doesn't look bad either!
