| i think the amount of research points to research tanning is too high. I've only been playing this game for a little under a week, how ever my noob protection ran out yesterday, and it will still be another day or 2 before i'm even able to train my first millitary unit. Even had i played the game different from the beginning i still don't think i would have been able to research tanning before my noob protection expired. I think its mostly just other beginners in my area, but i'm now sitting completely defensless to players who are further along, and there is nothing i can do about it. |

I believe you are correct that newbie protection time is too short for the duration it takes to reach even rudimentary defenses (and the pitiful deterrent they would present). Fortunately the atmosphere of this server is not overly barbaric, and you will likely find you could live peaceably for some time still, even if you were in old territory--that or find refuge in an alliance. I guess you could say it's all about who you know, so start making friends.  |

Agreed. Changed - and Research Points difference refunded to existing players who had researched (or were researching) Tanning. |
