As of today, the http://forum.illyriad.co.uk/code-of-conduct-rules-updated-102911_topic31.html" rel="nofollow - official Illyriad rules have been updated. Please take a moment to read them thoroughly.

I'll also be doing some forum maintenance in order to restructure and do a little housecleaning. One of the most significant changes that you will notice is the retirement of the Bitter Sea section of the forums. The common use of that forum does not fall in line with our goals moving forward. While not all threads currently in that section strictly violate the new rules, many of them do. In an effort to salvage some of the content from that section, I'll be removing all threads older than 6 months and going through the rest of them on a post-by-post basis to determine if they could have a home in another forum section.

I want to make it very clear that the purpose of removing the Bitter Sea section is not to remove all disagreements and debate from the forums. They are both natural and important parts of communication. The goal is just to make sure that we can have these types of discussions within boundaries that are good for everyone involved. The Illyriad community is both very passionate and intelligent and I believe that it is possible for that goal to be achieved.

If you have any questions about this please contact me via PM on the forums or via email at community@illyriad.co.uk. Do not create a new forum thread to ask questions about the rules or the removal of the Bitter Sea section. I am happy to discuss concerns on a one-on-one basis but these decisions are not up for public debate.

I thank you in advance for your patience and understanding while I work on this restructure.
