What resources are limited by storage?

We KNOW that gold, mana and research points are NOT limited by available storage space.

We KNOW that wood, clay, stone, iron and food ARE limited.

However, whether some or all of the other resources are limited by storage capacity is not clear.  There is anecdotal evidence on both sides of the question.

So, are resources other than gold, mana, RP, the four basics and food limited by storage capacity? If so, are all of them, or only certain ones?

Thanks!

Here is my question... why does this matter! If I found your profile correctly your two cities of size 1 K should have warehouses at at least lvl 15 which means you should be able to store upwards of 300k res. If you ever run into a situation where you have 300k of any advanced res you are not using it well enough!!! Simple as that.

They are.  I have tested and confirmed this personally.  I'm fairly certain that there was a time when advanced equipment resources were not storage-constrained, but that was definitely no longer the case as of early June this year.

It happens.  I've had 300k goods at one time.

Carl, I don't know if you follow global chat in-game, but I answer questions from new players with some frequency.  They don't have the same storage maximums that I enjoy.  This question is relevant for them because occasionally a small player receives a large gift of advanced resources from a larger player.

It also affects larger players when they start new cities.  It would be a pity to send your new city 1k books and lose half because they arrived before you built your storehouse beyond level 1.

I know from personal testing that beer and spears are limited by storage (very recently tested this) so I'd guess the rest of the advanced resources are limited too.

I guess it is probably a good idea to ask before you send a **** ton and end up losing most of it. apologies rill

Why are new players recieving mass amounts of adv resources then?

basic resources fine, a few horses fine, but everything else?

does one not have to work by the sweat of his brow anymore?

I did not get the memo that Illyriad was a Communist nation.

I don't send new players lots of advanced resources, personally.  For one thing, I don't have any!  But I'm not in a position to dictate what other folks do with their stuff, and I hate to see things go to waste.

I kind of would too, i used to donate some horses when i was ath and CV.  Kurfist only donated to orcs...

but the point is still there, today in global i saw a 200pop player ask for 30k resources.

when does it stop?
