I did a few quests first few weeks, got a 'discovery', inquisitive populace, which from what I read everyone gets the first few quests, then did about 200 more quests before I was way too built up to bother with the boring nonsense, and never got another discovery.

So I dig around and find no guides or anything. Should I have stuck with it, or is this the first discovery guide, 'Do quests until IP, then stop.'

There is only one other discovery from quests and this is the 'block and tackle' trade discovery. If you are a harvesting player its well worth sticking with the quests to get this discovery as it increases your harvesting speed slightly.

Sometimes you can get both quest discoveries quickly (one of my cities got both in the first few days of being founded), sometimes it takes forever (one of my cities has been at it for over 3 months before it got the first of them).
