For this kick-off to the "Illy Gamblehouse", we will be betting on certain outcomes of Valar v. Alliance Coalition (ie: H?, Curse, Dlord, Champ and PA). I will serve as bookie (I will collect the bets and pay the winner the pot) betting will take place starting on Sept 29, 2011 @ 0:00 (server time) and will run until Oct 6, 2011 @ 23:59 (server time). Any entries received after these times will be void. Betting will consist of different 'tiers' per different bet as you will see below. Following is the bets: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bet 1 When will the war be over between H? and Valar (ie when will 'war' status on their alliance profiles be taken down)? Tier 1 Betting: 1,000 gold buy-in (winner take all) Tier 2 Betting: 10,000 gold buy-in (winner take all) Tier 3 Betting: 1,000,000 gold buy-in (winner take all) Dates for bet: Oct 7, 2011 @ 0:00 to Oct 6, 2012 @ 23:59 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bet 2 When will the war be over between Curse and Valar? Tier 1 Betting: 1,000 gold buy-in (winner take all) Tier 2 Betting: 10,000 gold buy-in (winner take all) Tier 3 Betting: 1,000,000 gold buy-in (winner take all) Dates for bet: Oct 7, 2011 @ 0:00 to Oct 6, 2012 @ 23:59 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bet 3 When will the war be over between Dlord and Valar? Tier 1 Betting: 1,000 gold buy-in (winner take all) Tier 2 Betting: 10,000 gold buy-in (winner take all) Tier 3 Betting: 1,000,000 gold buy-in (winner take all) Dates for bet: Oct 7, 2011 @ 0:00 to Oct 6, 2012 @ 23:59 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Explanation: Each bet has a time "Dates for bet", this is the expiration of the bet (if for example H? and Valar are still listed as at war with each other after the expiration date, any players who have voted "no conclusion" will be awarded the pot (split equally between all valid entries)). Each bet has different 'Tiers', each Tier in each Bet will have it's own pot, so in total there will be 15 pots (3 Tiers per Bet, 5 Bets). Rules: Entries are only valid if received by me (player tallica) between the entry dates along with the appropriate buy-in. Each player is allowed to bet only once per Tier per Bet (so if you want to bet on Tier 1 and 2 for Bets 1, 2 and 3 you are allowed). The player who guesses most closely wins the pot for the Tier that they have bet on. Each Tier's pot will be won by at least 1 player. Special Rules: Players in H? are not allowed to bet on Bet 1 Players in Curse are not allowed to bet on Bet 2 Players in Dlord are not allowed to bet on Bet 3 Players in Champ are not allowed to bet on Bet 4 Players in PA are not allowed to bet on Bet 5 Players in Valar are not allowed to bet on anything (unfortunately, sorry! no hard feelings!) Entry format: Please use the following format when submitting entries via mail in game to player Tallica: I am betting on Bet 2, Tier 1: Dec 25, 2011 @ 5:30 I am betting on Bet 4, Tier 2: no conclusion Along with this mail, payment must be submitted that matches the buy-in for each Tier you are betting on. If you are going to exclude you should exclude them from making any bet not just one(s) they are involved in. Any player warring could have inside information on when it would end for any other of the warring parties, or indeed so could anyone with any kind of association with these alliances. If your not then you should open it up to everyone. If you find suspicious betting patterns happening then odds are you've found your end date for that particular conflict. ------------- Doesn't look good... doesn't look bad either! I had thought of that, but my betting window is only a week long, any bets received after next friday will not be valid to win. Unless this war is almost over, players involved will have no clue when things will end. It doesn't seem like things are close to being over... |

At the request of the OP, this thread has been cleared of any non-betting related comments. There are plenty of other places to argue whether this is or isn't a war or not, or what it should be called - so please use them instead. Regards, SC
