Subject: Attack against a Nightbringer by KT Members
Date Posted: 10 Aug 2011 at 22:50

On August 5, 2011 during a conversation between Vecinu86 and StJill in Global Chat an attack was launched by StJill against Vecinu’s capital city, Bucharest. This launch was shortly followed by another attack launched by Mojono who was not involved in the global chat conversation. In response to these attacks The Nightbringers attempted to find a diplomatic solution. Instead of a response to my inquiry I have received notice from Vecinu86 that yet another attack has been launched by StJude.

I am therefore making it public knowledge that I have attempted to stop the attacks through diplomacy and will continue to be open to a negotiation for a fair fight between the interested parties (StJill and Vecinu). I want assurance from the leadership of The Knights Templar that there will be no further attacks against Vecinu86 or any member of The Nightbringers until we have exhausted the possibility of coming to a reasonable, and preferably peaceful, solution.

A copy of the correspondence between myself and Majono is below and I believe it makes the facts and history of this conflict clear and easy to understand. I am in green, Majono is in orange.

Hi Majono,
St. Jill tells me that Vecinu is being attacked because of the incident with the diplo and the gold. Does that mean that once you attack him and extract your revenge you are done or will the attacks continue?

well, I think that will depend on your alliance. Right now Vecinu is sporting a very large army of well wishers and that may translate into a larger war. Vecinu screwed over Jude and myself, we were going to keep it at just the injured parties, but it appears that you are expanding it to the point were we may need assistance from our alliancemates.

If its a straight up fight between the three of us then I would be satisfied.

The following was sent on 08 Aug 2011 at 10:54:37 PM and has not been replied to.

Majono,

Are you referring to the prank Vecinu pulled during your war with Havok? I was unaware that you were involved in that in any way. As far as any of us knew that was strictly between StJill/StJude and Vecinu. Thus, when St Jill sent thieves to Vecinu to recover what was sent to Vecinu we took no action against StJill. According to what I was told by StJill yesterday the gold was recovered at that time. I believe that incident to be closed.

This current attack stems from StJill and Vecinu in chat giving each other a hard time. Again, I read the conversation and I do not see how you are in any way involved in their conversation. As I read it, StJill said something about how Vecinu's city looked nice and Vecinu taunted him that he could have it and an attack was launched, that is fine and between the two of them.

When that attack was followed by an attack from another player (you) of the same alliance with no known connection to the conversation between StJill and Vecinu it is only natural for us to think that there will be more attacks from others in your alliance. If it was intended for this to be between one person of your alliance and one person from our alliance then you would not have launched an attack.

How is a fight 2 against 1 to be considered fair? Especially since I have trouble seeing your connection to this situation. I would like to find a solution, but 2 against one does not work for me.

Looking forward to your reply,

Myr

I think it's funny that Vec told me about the situation when it was rising up, what did he say.. oh yeah he was going to fight without getting yall involved.  Seem pretty involved now,  by the way this goes out to everyone, stop putting your problems on the forums. This is getting ridiculous, we all have our own agendas, you have a military situation fight by yourself /or your alliance. Nightbringers vs Templars would be easy.

Kur you're more 'guilty' of anyone regards posting topics with little to do with the general community.

Completely disagree that this post is irrelevant. The forum's precise function is to provide a vehicle to debate issues which affect players. How much/little it directly affects any single player or their level of interest is really not relevant.

Simple solution to those that post 'Boring' or 'Stop posting': Stop reading.

Kurfist, had you answered your mail, or had anyone in your alliance responded, I would not have needed to find another outlet of communication.

Myr,

Berberos was a ~N~ member and when he was being attacked, nobody from ~N~ supported him. (acc to a post from Sunstorm). Not even a small army of 20 militia from anyone to show solidarity? How sad was that?

And now StJill, StJude and Mojono has launched attacks against one of your member. I would think any normal alliance would take it as an affront to their sovereignty. Instead of defending your member with nail and teeth, you are leaving him alone to deal with it.

It is bad enough that you beg before your enemies. It is worse that you would let your member fight alone against three at a time. You are defeated even before the battle started. What worth does your diplomatic talks have when you have lost all your respect? If I were in a confederate alliance of yours, I would have felt insulted at the lack of faith you have showed in our friendship.

You do have powerful confederations. I suggest you ask help from your confederates. Atleast you will get to know how many of them are real friends. Even if you do not wish to be aggressive, your friends could reinforce the cities under attack. Dont let anyone bully you. Make your enemies realize that an army sent against an ~N~ member is a dead army!

Good luck!

@ Lawn

So that makes my comments invalid then? I'm afraid I never got that memo..

Besides I'm not the person "or among the grouping of players" that taught the majority fo players in global and what your teaching every new player : global will bail you out.   That's whats going on here,
Global this is very unfair bail us out.

@Myr,

I received no mail from anyone other then vec to talk about that situation, I gave Vec any information I could regarding my person combat with Jude and friends, I wasn't even required to do that by any means but since me and Vec are friends in game, i provided.

@Lawn again,

@ Kurfist

First off, I am sorry for the first response, I was at work and distracted. I honestly for some reason got you confused with Majono.

Second, this forum is to ‘make your intentions known’ that is what I have done. I would like to try to find a peaceful end to 3 players attacking one without a war. I tried to do so privately and received no response; I am hoping they will be more open to responding here. I never asked for your, or anyone else’s, help in fighting. Nor have I asked to be bailed out of anything particularly since there is nothing to be bailed out from.

@  Ander

You do not have all the facts straight in the case of Berberos, however that discussion has nothing to do with this particular forum. You also do not have all the facts straight in this situation either. There is no need to ask our confederates for help when all I am trying to do is get the leadership of an alliance to talk. We are already taking care of the attacks ourselves, Vecinu is not alone. I have not asked for help here from anyone for anything.

Yes but was it really necessary? It was just one mistake, it's not like his entire post was full of spelling errors and it was illegible. Give Llyorn a few more posts and he'll likely have made the same mistake.

yes, but its just one mistake that he makes EVERY* time he writes.  He should learn to at least figure out how to use the correct grammar so he doesn't keep repeating himself.

You failed to capitalize "Yes" and didn't put your apostrophe in "it's". See? Bickering over spelling and grammar makes hypocrites out of everyone. You understood what he said, leave it at that. If there comes a time where it gets so bad you can't understand what he's saying, then you can complain.

To put this to bed I was getting cute with Kur in response to his doing so with me:
