They are actually a good defense; they are impassible so an army can't set a seige encampement on that square against you

For player reference the impassible/no seige/blockade squares are:

Lake, Loch, Volcanic peak, Fiery mountain, Canyon, Swampland

And player cities :-)

So it's not just 0 resource squares?

I have an ancient forest next to me that's 0 resources is that an impassible/no siege/blockade square?
