Due to new (happy) developments in my private life I am no longer able to continue playing Illyriad and thus run the Cult of the Red Moon.

I had fun, and definite plans, for the Cult, but I came up with these before these happy developments. Since then a lot has changed and so it is with partly sadness in my heart that I am saying goodbye to this game that I enjoyed for so long but off course I have a lot of good things to look forward to as well. In the end I always say, this is only a game, and real life comes first!

I have met a lot of nice people throughout this period and sometimes a few nasty, or immature ones as well. It all comes with the game I suppose. I would like to thank the vast majority of Illyriad for having made it such a fun game for me, and off course a special thank you to the GM's (Which actually stands for Gnome Males, though only few people realise this...) you've got a wonderfull game going here and offer some of the best service I have ever had in any game, so I truelly wish you all the best for the future!

Good luck, and have fun everybody, remember it's only a game ;o)

Ps yes I only edited this post as I didn't want to bump the post again, sooner or later some of you will read this anyway *grins*

More Orc, less talking!

All that is said is my own opinion. I am not a leader nor voice for Invictus. I will always abide by Invictus's rules.

It's funny, I can't hear red moon without thinking of women's mysteries...

I'm guessing this isn't what you had in mind.  ^_^

Invitations have been send to some already, and to answer you Shaharet... in that case it would have been called The Cult of the Red Sea LOL

... you know that women always do everything in abundance... a simple red moon wouldn't suffice Ouch LOL

<Shadar Logoth hastens to say he means no disrespect to all the fine ladies who grace this wonderfull game!!! >

Its a Krynn (Dragonlance) reference isnt it?
Makes me sad that yet another alliance pops up out of nowhere - with no other seeming purpose or underlying concept that "Hey I have gold, I want my own alliance too." People - given this extent of freedom we have in Illy seem to forget that an alliance is only as good as the active members in it - So what exactly merits this new alliance? All it achieve is scrounging up a few members and get attacked and start yet another round of wailing and hysteria on the forums. Whats the friggin point???

Why is there not a greater will among Illys players to make the alliances reflect Illyriads demography and history instead of filling in random fantasy stuff???

I dunno why I bother trying...

Tord if you'd checked you would see that shadar and nahtania are both very old invictus players, the just look small because they've been sieging thier own towns to move up north, I also will be joining in a few hours and I'm an old POS, (or IE) member so we do bring a lot of experience to the table.

Just because there is reference to other fatasy elements doesn't necessarily reflect how the alliance is to be run, and we do hope to integrate a role playing element that will reflect the history

i do not chat much in forums that is not crow related but i felt it was needed in this case.  shadar was a long standing leader of one of the largest alliances in the game, invictus.  at that time i believe invictus was the third largest alliance in the game but has slipped a small bit since shadar's departure.  i myself have had many encounters with shadar and find him a good politician as well as a great strategist.  respectful, smart and fair.  i expect great things from red moon, since i have seen great things from shadar in the past.  i would not be so quick to use such harsh words,  cause shadar has proven himself a great leader in the past already and now that he has full leadership of a alliance i dont see why it would not continue to be as such.

Yet... deep within the archives of the Cult of the Red Moon, true power awaits....

We were dorment... stagnant... but always there....
Kings tried to deny us,
Gods tried to destroy us, but we serve and obey....

And now we arise again.... we have power, we have goals, and we might even want allies... but foremost those who are new, and willing to move their capital cities...

The time is coming, the Cult is biding its time...

Blood red, the colour of our heathen gods....

Will you be invited on this holy crusade?

To be continued.... for sure...

BeerI can appreciate some of the comments made, and agree that alliances should not be lightly made. I also thank some for the comments made about me, and promise that this won't be some empty shallow alliance for sure Wink

Invictus has always been an important part of my ingame life. I didn't leave because of problems, but only because I wanted some time off. Invictus is still lead by some of the most capable persons i have ever met in this game (not all alliances have been purely made up of only using prestige to get where they got to). I can say this for several reasons, but to say so would give away their strength and I respect their officers to much for that.
Bottom line, Invictus doesn't need me to survive, but I am very greatfull for the kind words about me. They depict exactly what kind of leader I have always strived to be. Hug

The Cult of the Red Moon will differ slightly in leadership. We wish to follow a story line within the game, and we do not intend to be totally peacefull about it. However, we will honour our word, I have never done anything other than that, and that won't change. We won't become total bastards... but we do follow the storyline hihihi.... Evil Smile

I will post our history (in making as we speak) in here, and then anyone can decide wether we got what you want.

As for the "Gods" godsdestroyer hehehe... indeed, our little secret, maybe you chose the wrong alliance to join afterwards though LOL ... This time you could join the right GODS... *grins*

A story to follow here though... whatever happens!

Thanks for all the funny, and well intended replies from all of you!
