Could we please have the ability to scout occupied territory?  It seems quite unnatural that a party camped out in the open can remain so mysterious. Confused

This might also suggest that it should be possible to put scouts in an army as countermeasure.  While that's probably a more elaborate feature to implement, the former is more important and could be added by itself without introducing noteworthy issues.

Another nice long-term goal would be the ability to scout any location, and receive a report of occupying troops and the composition of nearby parties in transit (i.e. on this tile or adjacent ones, since parties on the move can't really try to hide at all).

Hello HM,

I thought about this too and i send Master Scouts to certain areas with occupying armies and with passing armies.

It didnt work for me, i thought they failed reporting or something.
I am pointing at the last part of the below description.
Did it work for anyone?

Description:
Master Scouts 150 6hr Requires Consulate at level 3
An upgrade to the standard scout unit, the master scout is mounted on horseback and can cover terrain a lot faster than a scout on foot. Master scouts not only report on the units present at a location, but can also ascertain the current activities of other military units that have passed this way.

I don't think that description intends what we're discussing.  I think it's an obtuse way of saying that when you use Master Scouts against a city, you see information about the current activities of units that are stationed there but currently out on missions.

I did send some at a location just to check it out myself, though in truth I didn't expect it to work, else the world map wouldn't have excluded links to send out scouts to non-city locations.

Kinda strange if you scout a city and see the activity of the units in the field.
