Just going to take this chance to say Happy 1st Birthday to the game and the Dev's as i wont be on that day. Keep up the great work and look forward to many more years playing along. Now dont forget to send me my bit of cake

Sure everyone that is able to should buy Prestige. I know not all can afford to, but that is one sure way of getting them a present.

Why, thank you all very much! It's been quite a first year for us all; and for those who were here at the beginning, let's take a small trip down memory lane... Since release to live (amongst many other items) we've added the following major things into the game: Resource Gathering, NPCs, Diplomatic Quests, Siege Warfare & Sally Forth, Occupy, Account Sitting, Ingame Chat, Alliance Forums, Sovereignty, new Town Graphics (does anyone remember the old graphics?!), fractal generation and issuance of an entirely new World Map including biomes, Faction info and content writing, Monetisation of the Economy & Tournaments. There's so much more to come over the next months, starting - of course - with the most major of all the releases we've ever done: the new User Interface. There's one other thing to celebrate here; Illyriad broke into the Alexa "5-digit" club over the weekend; meaning that Illyriad is now one of the top 100k most visited websites on the internet based on a 3-month traffic average. It's quite a milestone for us, and we're continuing to climb rapidly.  We wouldn't have got here without all your help, and we'd like to thank you all! Just for your amusement (and please take these - like almost all statistics - with a healthy dose of salt), here is a snapshot of who you are compared to some other popular browser-based MMOs. The green and red horizontal bars show whether (relative to the general population of the entire internet) Illyriad is over- or under-represented in each category. Firstly, compared to the internet average, you're more likely to be an old fart like me.  You're more likely than average to be the fairer gender.
 You're generally further educated than the norm.  And you're also vastly overpaid   Anyway. Thanks for your continued support, again, from all of us here. Best Regards, SC |
