Hi to all,

I'm new to the forums and game in general even though i joined the game few months ago i had to quit due to RL issues and having no time to dedicate.

I have lots of exp playing similar games to this but by far this is the most complex online strategy game.

I'm currently reading some guides even though my opinion is that this game needs some time and "experiments" to be learned properly, even though some tips wouldn't hurt .

Currently with no alliance and it would help if smo could give an hint on how to find an alliance near your Continent/Ocean/Land or however is called in this game.

Anyway nice to be here and a game as cool and realistic as this needs a bit more publicity to attract more players, and lighten up the forums a bit.

There are a variety of approaches to finding an alliance.

There are numerous alliances that accept most anyone that asks.  You can look at the Alliance button on the Options Menu (upper left corner of the screen).  Each alliance is listed and most alliances have an alliance description that will tell you about the alliance and who to contact for membership.

You can look around the map in your area to see if an alliance has a lot of members near you.  Close alliance-mates can be very helpful.

You can visit Global Chat and announce you are looking for an alliance.

Also, here on the forum is an area for Alliance Recruiting which has many announcements.

Isn't there in the alliance rankings an button or smth similar to that to rank the alliances in base of their points on the Continent/Ocean/Land your located ?

That would make everything much easier.

Not yet.. But that might change when the new UI interface gets released and the Factions are active.

there is something that you could use for that purpose is the Strategy Overview Map
all you have to do to access it is click on the globe icon when it has loaded select
view strategy overview map (top right hand corner) and it shows you the HUGE
map of Illyriad and where you are located, from there under alliances you can choose
a alliance and it shows all their towns on the map.

hope this helps
