will be auctioning off my advance resources in lots, and you have a
chance to get what you need in bulk. So no more scraping around the
market trying to find what you need. To kick things off Current Auction: 10,000 Cows Start: Jan 7 19:00 game time Ends: Jan 9 21:00 game time Current High Bid: Minimum bid increment will be 5,000gold I will try my best to keep the auction lots in large quantities. You bid 1 million and cleared the room. It seems to me that you bought the cows so you get the milk (not for free!
This is a good example of an auction run amok. A bidder gets focused on winning the bid instead of getting the best price. Also, bidding with pretend money.

Haha least yall are having fun with it and maybe some really needs cows and will take em off your hands G0Ds though im thinking a minimum bid incriment should be used and a reserve next go around though im pretty sure ill get a decent price and a reserves no necessary also 48hrs may be to long of an auction time lets see what other feedback i get and i may call an end to it if it goes so long without some1 bidding after a high price is thrown up |

TS - for the next auction, Saddles or Leather Armor make sense to me.
The current marketplace has a wide gap between Buyers' Bid and Sellers' Ask prices. You have just established an auction price for Cows at 250 ea. (tho I suspect that this is inflated due to bidding exuberance). Both Saddles and LA require Cows. The raw materials required are negligible in cost. So theoretically, these 2 goods should be the cost of a cow plus a premium for factory time. So I would expect a Saddle to sell for 500 (250x2) plus a time premium...LA should sell for 250 plus a time premium. Your auction could give us a clue as to what the value of factory time is.
Using the same logic...most of the cost of a cow is the time premium.
At level 1 factories, production times are:
Cow 1:06:51 (67 minutes roughly)
Sdl 1:20:00 (80 min)
LA 52:32 (52.5 min)
So time is priced at 250 gold = 1:06:51.
Thus, a Sdl should cost 2x250 (2 cows) plus time premium of 298 (80 min - 67 min = 13 min/67 min = 19% more time for Sdl over Cow...250 Cow x1.19 = 297.5) So total expected Sdl cost = 798 gold.
Same process for LA: time premium 52 min - 67 min = -14.5%...100%-14.5%=83.5% x 250 = 208.75. Cost of Cow = 250 plus time premium 209 = 459 total expected LA cost.

yea i know i havent been as professional as i should be in running this auction, but now that im home and have some time to spend on this ill straighten out my original post and yes from the time of that post +19mins to make it even is when ill start the 48hr countdown also how long do you think is fair to wait to close an auction if there hasnt been any new bids, im thinks if it goes 12hrs with out a new bid i'll call it done and move on to the next item, that seem like a decent time frame for yall? |

If you cant afford the whole lot make a deal on global or with your alliance to split it amongst yourselves, just have the gold gathered promptly and ready for shipment. FYI fellas...
Less than 24 hours ago, I posted Buy offers for Saddles at 800 each. These offers were accepted very quickly. 1 in less than 5 minutes from posting. Each order was for 500 saddles/400K gold. The 2nd went a few hours later.
The current bid is 933.33. That's more than a 20% premium over market.
Leu, you should be able to buy saddles on the market without needing to win this auction.

HM - Agreed completely. This auction is not about getting the best per unit price. Every auction has far exceeded the market per unit prices. However, 3,000 chainmail for sale does not show up on the market very often.

Untrue. I got those saddles for 1067ea and sold most of them (I kept a bunch for myself) for 1900ea. Had I had the gold I would have bought those swords too, since no one made an offer I likely could have gotten them for only 400ea and sold for more. |

Its always been backwards in games, its easier to make one 3k unit trade than 30x 100 unit trades. Im actually suprised yall have bid this high. But i have noticed only the same few people bid every time and id like to make it open to more people, are my lots to large for most players looking to buy or are these few people raising the price to fast for yall lurkers to be interested? maybe i should run a few lots of varying sizes to get more people interested or any other suggestions to increase customers out there?
