Greetings Lords and Ladies of the lands.
It has come to our attention that caravans are being attacked, simply for harvesting on a square being claimed by sovereignty by another alliance.
Fact is, the harvesting of spawned resources on such a square does nothing to harm the owner of the square.
Let it be known that if the owner of a sovereign square does not send in its own caravans to claim such bounty, we do not consider it a hostile act if we, or others, claim such bounty on our, or other peoples lands.
Any of our caravans being destroyed by alliances who feel that they should make such preposterous claims should also keep in mind that we consider the destruction of our caravans a hostile act.
Invictus and Victrix has always been a reasonable alliance, but we will defend our own.

I agree since it does no harm to the Sov. Squares it would be no offense to simply gather resouces or attack an NPC there. |

I feel as though any resource pile within a few squares of one of my cities is "mine" and should I find anyone else harvesting I will immediately dispatch a caravan to bump that unknown caravan and send it home so that I may harvest what is obviously rightfully mine. Sending an army would have another motive entirely. I would feel very differently about this subject if a more reasonable alternative were not available, I do not think the assumption of a claim is the issue so much as the means of enforcing that claim.

I agree with ScottFitz on this one. Although myself i don't gather resources unless it is gold and is 6 squares away from me. ... just to be clear, this does indeed mean that new players and players from existing alliances alike are still welcome to harvest on our sov square. Worst thing that can happen is that we bump your caravan if we want to claim said resources ourselves. 
Destroying a caravan, even if it's your sov square will still be considered a hostile act.
@ scottfitz, so we agree on this issue.  As far as we are concerned you can bump to your hearts delight, it's the use of armies to destroy a caravan that we consider a hostile act. The policy to destroy caravans on sovereign squares was previously in effect in World's End. Today (before I saw this post actually), I contacted our founder and explained that this policy needs to be changed. I do not know to what extent the actual destruction of caravans has been carried out in the past, but I agree it is an excessive and unnecessary use of force when bumping accomplishes the same end without hostility. Sincere apologies to those who have been affected by our actions in this regard in the past.

I only attack them if I want to start something with another player,its not like they're really hard to produce or anything.Just makes me feel like I'm actually winning a fight,like some kind of guerrilla military.
Now when escorts for caravans come out,its a whole different game.......
