First off, I want to apologize for my abrupt departure from the game. Not many people know this, but BrianN and I had been friends since my early days in the game. His departure, along with Lone Wolf’s, and the lack of action from the Devs regarding some issues in the game, hit me hard—on top of a series of unfortunate events happening in my personal life at the same time. I don’t want to rehash the whole situation again—it is what it is.

Overall, I’m sleeping better now. Do I regret leaving? Not at all. I made great friends, played a lot, and learned every aspect of the game. Lusit plenissime, nihil paenitet.

I came back one last time to endorse and congratulate Naxoom/Bazoon as the new leader of TCol. It’s the same courtesy Grom showed me when I took over as Empress.

I’m fully confident that Naxoom will do a great job. He’s honestly one of the smartest people I’ve ever met online. I wish him all the best as the new Emperor of TCol and hope the alliance will give him the same support you all gave me during my time. Though, I bet he hates me for suddenly passing that responsibility onto him. LOL.

A lot of people assumed TCol was dead, but the truth is, like many alliances in the game, we struggled with player inactivity early in my reign. Half the team rarely logs in, and the other half—while still strong—has had to endure massive gold burns. That’s the challenge of running a military alliance, but I’ve always been impressed by the team's discipline.

It was a tough job, and when Hastur first offered me leadership, I told him, “I’m going to run this like a company, the same way I manage my teams at work.”

And that’s exactly what I did.

I’ve done my fair share of scheming and warring in this game, and while not everything worked out, I had a blast. I enjoyed every bit of it—the wins, the mistakes, and even those embarrassingly late launches during war ops. LOL. I owe a lot to my mentors: WarPath, OleBlacklord, Skarr, Ammianus, Hastur, Bazoon, and so many others.

Some highlights from my time as Empress:
  • May 2023: I officially took on the leadership of TCol. I asked Grom and Ashka to stick around, even if only to log in from time to time, and they’ve been constant sources of advice ever since, always ready to help me make tough decisions.
  • For six months, I gathered all TCol data—member info, army counts, resources—and recruited about a dozen new players, both veterans and newbies. Some stayed, some left. Shoutout to Lord Sunshine for exodusing 17 cities from BL to Elgea for us after I convinced him to return to TCol—again, thank you Sunny. I reached out to old members through Slack and Discord to be more active again, reached out to our confeds to reinforce our alliances, and mended relationships with training alliances (except ITG). I also had to quickly learn the ins and outs of military ops. Our first attempt to revive military action against ASCN was in November 2023.
  • December 2023/January 2024: The New Year siege was planned. Of course, it failed. ASCN predicted our move and terraformed the siege tile—an easy guess since it was the only non-plain tile. I hope the devs fix that exploit at some point. We bounced off the siege and I learned a valuable lesson.
  • After that, we planned six more ops, all of which succeeded (almost 1 ops per month). But I knew that military victories alone wouldn’t win us the war. So, I put together a 4-phase, 2-year plan to take down ASCN. It’s still ongoing, so I won’t reveal too much here, but before I left, we were halfway our targets. I also brokered surrenders from two players (alt included), taking down 80+ towns, in hopes of hurting ASCN’s active numbers.
There were so many moments in between which I all enjoyed, including my behind-the-scenes role in the ITG/SMA-RE/Iron situation, which led to a VAST confederation and the failed ASCN surrender which led to Anika almost being newbringed. That was probably the dirtiest and most fun diplomatic play I’ve ever done in the game. Shoutout to Thorfinn for being patient and forgiving!

I have no doubt that Naxoom/Bazoon will win the current and upcoming wars and lead TCol to even greater success. Congrats and long may he reign.

To the friends I made in the game, you're the only parts of it I miss, shout out to Sa'Belle, Bazoon, Boliboop, chinadoll, Stayme, Fiona, Duran, lonewolf, and the entirety of TCol, VAST, HORDE and ACHE.

Victory to TCol!

Someday, someone will best me. But it won't be today, and it won't be you.
