We do not know how.

This means if a player attempts the quest and fails, which always happens, then that town cannot make another attempt.

In my quest town that I tried with last year, I can get the Fortune Teller quest message again, but the old crone does not ever visit. I sent a messenger to Duraz Karag to see if maybe I didn't need the old crone to visit, but I got the regular message and not the one for the quest.

Luckily, I have another town that I am using for this year's attempt. But I am considering exo'ing the town that cannot get the old crone to visit again. Not sure yet. And then, that brings up the question of if it matters if the town moves by exodus or by teleportation.

Sending the corrupted tentacles out of the quest town does not re-set the quest. That has been tried. The old crone still does not visit again.

This is one piece of the puzzle that we should try to figure out.

How long is the quest cycle?

How much time do we have to complete the quest?

Does Audrey waking up affect the quest cycle?

Do players have to redo the steps again, if Audrey wakes up and nothing happens with the quest?

Do we have to reset the quest?

All ideas and suggestions are welcome, and please share any knowledge. We can only solve this quest by working together.

Could indeed be a timeout thing (similar to the tavern quests). In any case it seems system registers the town as having failed somewhere down the line, it doesn't look like one can use the same town again, or not in the first new cycle anyway, unless it's just really bad luck with the old crone visit but failing seems systematic for second attempts.

The other option would be that the quest isn't 'failed' merely 'incomplete' and there isn't a need to send the old crone visits messages again. This would be different than the human statue quest which repeats the message for repeating the old steps.

Would be nice for some form of confirmation/hints from the devs given it takes 6months to a year to make a new attempt.

This has been fixed.

A town that has tried before can do the steps again, and give the quest another try. The old crone will visit after getting the fortune teller message.
