Diplomatic Unit DataIssue: By inspecting the underlying data (using GDT or similar tools) it was possible to ascertain the Unit Type of diplomatic units in motion on the map. This therefore also gave the race of the sending player. Fix: This has now been fixed and diplomatic units are marked as “unknown” in the underlying map data. Assignment of non-standard equipment to commandersIssue: Using GDT or similar tools, it was possible to give commanders non-standard equipment (such as books or gold), or equipment not suitable for the slot type. The back-end commander code checked whether you had equipable items in your town, not whether that particular item was actually equipable in that slot for that commander. It is unclear whether this could have provided any kind of advantage. Fix: This has now been fixed and you can only equip appropriate items in the appropriate slots. Faction Standing ChangesUpdate: A number of factions have had their Default Racial Standings slightly updated in order to align with our ongoing development of Faction AI. The (current) only effect of this is that some players’ rate of taxation for placing a sell order in a particular faction’s hub may have changed slightly.
