Faction Play continues to grow in popularity each day. Currently, we have 5 player-led factions, and 83 members in our Faction Play Sack channel, https://join.slack.com/t/illyriadfactionplay/shared_invite/zt-g4ivobud-kNm_eUncqlQxANVeUrQ~FA" rel="nofollow - which anyone can join at any time . There are well over 200 accounts in the game who are 1) in Factions, 2) opted into Faction Play, or 3) interacting with Faction Players in character.

We are still looking for Alliance Players to "opt in" to Faction Play, as well as Alliances that are interested in becoming player-led Factions.

There are three advantages to creating a player-led Faction:

• A player-led Faction gets its own custom alliance ranking algorithm, which lets them rank every alliance in the game and use this ranking system as the basis for engaging with the other Factions and Alliances.
• Factions have more freedom in how they engage with other Factions.
• Faction leaders get a seat at the table in helping to advance and develop Faction Play

We are still looking for additional elf, dwarf, and orc Factions, as well as our first human Faction. We are also open to new concepts for mixed-race Factions, and can help design a unique ranking algorithm to create rankings that reflect the characteristics of the Faction.

In order to create or establish a player-led Faction, we are looking for the following:

• A minimum of 10 active accounts that are controlled by at least 5 separate players, all of whom are fully opted into Faction Play.
• A long-term commitment to remaining active within Faction Play and contributing to the community.
• A passion for role playing and interacting with the server in character as much as possible.

Interested Alliances do not need to 100% convert to a player-led Faction, either. As long as you have a grou of at least 5 players who are committed to developing the Faction portion of the Alliance, they can represent an Alliance as their Faction Players. The rest of the Alliance will not be subject to Faction Play unless players are opted in to the fun.
