| In consideration of a proposal to have an Illycon 2012 USA, I have looked over prospective areas and the consensus at this time would be to have it in Orlando, Florida, as the flights into this airport seem to be cheapest next to Las Vegas. If you think Vegas is a better option, then by all means voice your opinions in the comments section. This poll is only for the consideration of having said convention in Orlando. If, through comments, it is deemed that we should reconsider the location, then that will be addressed. |

To me, Orlando seems better from an age perspective- in Vegas, many things require you to be 21 and while that isn't an issue for me (just), it could be an issue for other people in the 18-20 bracket. ------------- This is the thread that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friend. | I say keep it in FL! It will not only be cheaper flights wise, but also once you land. Have recently had a friend that went to Vegas and the amount they spent compared to what I have spent in Florida is a big enough difference for me to say, stick with FL. |

| This I agree with, the months you are proposing are all in Hurricane season, later in the summer is potentially a lot worse. So if Florida is chosen the earlier in the season the better. |

Orlando has much more to offer casino is 45 min away tampa hard rock and any1 wants a big bass might be able to hook you up :)

All things considered I feel that Orlando is a much better choice. For once (as already mentioned) there's no guarantee that everyone will be 21 or older, which will significantly restrict activities and events that fellow Illyrians will be able to participate in. Additionally, Las Vegas costs a whole lot more than Orlando. I vaguely recall my father griping about 20-25$ for 1 beer in vegas. I can go to just about any bar and spend 4$ in comparison. Even if the flight is more expensive, odds are that you'll save much more with everything else, or at the very least break even. Also, Orlando has multiple attractions that Illyrians can visit, and enjoy whereas Vegas is... well... vegas. It's a giant money making machine. Orlando is more down-to-earth and (in my less than humble opinion) pleasant. |
