one thing that could create more interest in faction armies...

if they drop crafted items after battles?

For example, attack and kill an elven faction army, they drop some crafted bows and leather armour?

dwarven factions could drop swords and chain or plate

I 2nd this remark.

Can also up the gold reward a few notches for a quick fix and look Into this for the next update as well as Kristaals very good ideas.

This would create a somewhat strange incentive to want to be next to factions that want to attack you. Then you could defend in your city and get dropped gear without ever having to harvest.
