Hi All,

The Famine Management discovery was intended to only apply to the capital city of a player's empire.

However, of course, players have been capturing capital cities from other players over the many years, and these (old) capital cities have often had the Famine Management discovery on them, discovered by the prior owner.

This is why - whilst the discovery appears in players' discoveries lists - the actual 10% Food bonus has not been historically applied in captured cities.

However, after much discussion internally, we think its right for captured cities (with the discovery) to have the bonus carried over.

All newly captured cities with the Famine Management discovery will have the 10% bonus carried over with them, and we have backfill-rectified all (historic) cities that have the discovery but not the bonus.

Therefore, it is now possible for players to have multiple cities in the same empire with the Famine Management +10% Food bonus discovery, only achievable by capturing another players' city that previously had the discovery.

Players in possession of a city that has the Famine Management discovery (but not the resource bonus) may need to log back in and back out and/or perform some action (such as building something) that changes their Current resource balance for the changes to be reflected in their city.

Best wishes,

SC

Some Players had all towns with famine management.

More food! This is good news for building.

after a quick check of my cities, the famine bonus seems to be working in the captured cities that had it but still doesn't work in capital
however, soil enrichment is working there so that's a start, ty

You don't have to capture a city with Famine Management to get another city with it, Exo your capital - It departs with Famine Management. A new city becomes your capital, without Famine Management. However when you capture your next city (over 10) your new capital gets it as well.

A buglet here - where newly-captured towns were seeing a repeated 'Famine management' bonus apear on the resource display page has been resolved, and Food numbers for the 3 cities effected should now add up.

If you had a petition open regarding this, I have responded to it ingame.

Regards,

SC
